  1. Zorrow, that's one of the finest V's I've ever seen!
  2. First question, are you going to sell it or keep it? If it's a keeper, than I personally would make it "work" for you. If making the pickup slots bigger is what You want then do it. It's not like it's a 52 Tele or 57 Les Paul.
  3. Nice. Thanks.
  4. Got a pic of the headstock? After seeing this, and watching ZZ Top, live from Texas, Billy G was playing a tele on Just Got paid...Now I'm jonesing for one.
  5. Was in a stoner rock, 70's fuzz rock band called Crud, we had a website and my email on the website was Scottcrud at yahoo...So I used Scottcrud when I joined the Hamer forum.
  6. uhhh, yea, Sperzel, tried and true.
  7. Forgot about Jacob Moons cover of Rush's Subdivisions... and
  8. I found the audio, have not gotten around to seeing the video footage, but Zappa doing Stairway is just wild. Thanks for the heads up! -Cheers You gotta see the video, Zappa lights up a cigarette and pours himself a cup of coffee during the guitar solo!
  9. Jeff Beck, Remember, Walking in the Sand is smoking with Imelda May on vocals, though I like the Shangri Las version just fine and Aerosmiths for that matter, But Jeff Becks version is smoking! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKKiZiPxNms
  10. I always enjoyed Frank Zappa's live version of Stairway to Heaven, trust me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0p3Ue3ncH3g
  11. Prongs version of "Talk, Talk" over Sean Bonniwells The Music Machine version. I heard a version of "Space Oddity" performed live by David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails that I thought was better than the original, but can't seem to find it anywhere... I really liked Coroners version of the Beatles "I want you, (She's so heavy)... Maybe not better than the original, but I like it and think it is. Metallica's versions of Die, Die, Die my darling, The Small Hours, Crash Course in Brain Surgery, Last Caress/Green Hell, Helpless, The Wait, Am I evil?, So What, Breadfan Are all in my opinion better than the originals.
  12. Kevin, How'd you learn to do the Carnival firing blowing thing?
  13. Love it Kevin! Good for you man. When we make our video I'll be wearing my 1980 Special, WE WILL bring Hamers back to metal!
  14. I like em for metal. I used EMG 81's exclusively for about 15 years. I switched to passives cause I found a guy who will build me pickups the way I want for a reasonable price. BTW, the EMG's blow the stock carvin pickups out of the water, IMO the carvins are some of the blandest pickups I've ever used.
  15. Not going to match the Jeffro treatment, not anywhere close to it!
  16. I'm playing Thrash Metal on a 1980 Special...
  17. When are you going to be in Austin? If I'm off maybe Bruiser Brody and I can meet you somewhere for Beer.
  18. What amp? JCM 800?
  19. linky doesn't work

  21. Her band sucks! It's painful to hear and watch her. Well her band doesn't suck, she does. I think it's pure garbage, horrible.
  22. I never understood why companies specifically Hamer and Robin boast about their Custom shops, when you ask them for something custom they don't want to do it. Truly baffling.
  23. Oh Mother... sorry, couldn't help it.
  24. Got mine today. Thanks, Chris.
