  1. I have both " Vivid " & " Hendrix In The West " on vinyl. I love it!
  2. My first job was $3.50 an hour & that was 22 years ago. $9.50 sounds about right for an entry level position.
  3. My thoughts & prayers will be with you always. Take time to get better & draw strength from your many friends & family. As far as my vibes are concerned,i purchased them from Hustler Hollywood & YOU CAN'T HAVE THEM!
  4. HEY! I resemble that remark. So do i!
  5. Junk in the trunk. Love my Superpro.
  6. Sorry,i may get flamed for my choice. When i was a young kid,Kiss was everything. The solos on " Calling Dr. Love " & " Strange Ways " still sound great. I always thought Rick Nielson had great tone. Later on i discoverd Hendrix.
  7. I don't give a damn about anyone's so-called " hipness " factor. I think that " Annie's Song " is one of the best love songs ever written.
  8. Chris made me a S style guitar in Burgundy Mist Metallic. Great guitar at a fantastic price. Nice guy to deal with, also.
  9. I'm glad you had a good time. It was a good gig. Your tone was superb. Funny thing is,i was walking out,two ladies were walking in. I said " excuse me ladies ",one of them was shocked by my reply. I guess i am old-fashioned,i really haven't jumped on the bitches & ho's band- wagon.
  10. My condolences. There is no one who shows unconditional love like Mom. R.I.P.
  11. It was out in the middle of nowhere. But,no biggie. I called ahead & the bartender gave me excellent directions. I didn't leave early because of you,# 1 i was slightly overdressed. Plus, i didn't really know anybody. Everybody looked at me like i was a cop. I get that everywhere. Oh,well.
  12. Nice to meet you also,Tom. Also to Paul, who was ever so kind. Super shout out to DaveE. I made the trip to see Super Dave's band,Mothertrucker. Dave played great, but i was very impressed with his rhythm section. It is rare to see players so young who understand that the rhythm section is the most important part of the band. About the show,i didn't see much that i was interested in. Except a gentleman who had a brown Prince- ton behind his table. I asked about the price. No sale. Oh,well. Columbus is a long drive from me,but i still had a good time.
  13. With all due respect,i have heard worse players tham JM being championed on this & other forums. I would like Joe B. a lot better if he would cut down the distortion. I want to hear blues, not Black Sabbath.
  14. Guitar Emporium is a great local shop. One of the few places that still have good used deals at a good price.
  15. in 2004 charvels started to be great usa guitars again. i bought 2 weeks ago the 2004 Namm charvel star guitars. that is really a great guitar. it was handbuilt by mike shannon one of the original luthiers. Nice guitar. Delightfully understated.
  16. I wish you a full & speedy recovery. You are to obstinate/mule-headed to stay down for very long.
  17. Isn't this just fantastic news. The days of great quality USA Hamers are about to come to an end. If the Fender Custom Shop Guitars are any indication. Over priced and over rated.
  18. My '95 Studio has a gold color logo to match the factory gold hardware.
  19. I like the Association. Any song off of Marty Stuart's Soul Chapel. I recently purchased it. It has an almost spooky quality about it.
  20. I am down to three Hamers after owning more than a few. A '95 Studio, a '99 Newport, and my '03 Monaco Superpro in Jazzburst. I will have to be starving before i part with any. No chance of that happening anytime soon.
  21. I would have to agree with the statement about Mr. Olberman.
  22. Insensitivity knows no bounds. But you sir,are coming too close for comfort.
  23. Every human being has his breaking point. Mr. Delp obviously reached his.
  24. I missed the half-time show and regret it. I haven't watched the Super Bowl in years. I was at work today and my co-worker was bitching about Prince playing the half-time gig. He is only 22 and i understand in a way because Purple Rain was before his time. But still,it couldn't have been worse than Justin Timberlake. I am convinced that the present generation couldn't hear the difference between a car crash and a rap show and discern the difference.
