+1. It's beautiful.

I took that once. Made me the size of a door knob. But it hurt too much to do anything with it.

Verry sweet indeed. Thanks for sharing.

Has eBay lost is 'sparkle'?
BubbaVO replied to Willie G. Moseley's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Less and less. I'd rather try before I buy. If I can find someone with a generous return policy so much the better - I'm not looking to rip anyone off but some times gear just doesn't work like you thought it would. -
Get better soon! All the best from PA!

Is This Guy A Little Too Full Of Himself?
BubbaVO replied to elduave's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Without an excellent drummer, average joe radio listener will never hear your band, because your band will be shit. If your drummer sucks, your band sucks. Period. No exceptions. +1 -

Thanks for the explanation of the blur...at first I thought my eyes were having trouble with the pattern on the shirt. : ) Regardless, good work outta ya to get out there. Way too cool.

What's the best bang for the $ with acoustic guitar's
BubbaVO replied to Mindseyes's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Seagull artists have pretty nice bang for buck. -
Austin - I believe those are called a #551 shape - those are smaller than a standard #351 and come to more of a point. I can see if we can get those done, and will let you know. Not sure if we'll incur additional charges to get the logo to fit on there, and we may have more limited choice of colors, but I'll check. If the Jazz III works out count me in for a few packages ...maybe even in Ultex I thought the Jazz III was made out of Ultex. Is that incorrect? Anyway, I'm in. I can always use more pics. I wonder if an ultex run would garner some orders.

Which is the "most metal" guitar brand?
BubbaVO replied to zorrow's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Charvel and their superstrats were pretty popular back in the day. -
Pretty much says it all.

I found a set I really like: 9-11-16-26-36-46 I'm hooked on DR Greg's Choice strings sold by our own BCR Greg. But there are other brands that I'm sure will work for you too.

Maybe not innovative, but if you watch the Winterland show from Kissology Vol. 1 and don't think that's a rockin' performance, your biases are doing the opining for you. . When I read about parents being all giddy that their children are into the same music they were as kids, I think it's a shame. It's okay to an extent, I suppose, but overall, it just ain't right. Younger generations need their own artistic heroes, ideally ones that piss off their elders. That's a big part of the fun. Couldn't agree more.

What's that I see in the mail room?
BubbaVO replied to MCChris's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I like my Mirage II better than my natural Studio/Archtop Studio Custom guitars. Strumming it unplugged, the M2 just feels more vibrant. I wonder if you'll feel the same way. -

Nah, probably hairy-pitted, patchouli-smelling hippie chicks like usual. Although last week I interviewed a trial lawyer from Alabama who's appearing naked in the pay site this weekend and she said she's into jam bands, so who knows? Southern girl? Into Rock n' Roll? Bad enough. She's a liti-gator on top of that? Trouble. -
Nice to see things workin' out.

I've been working on a song that has been nagging me for a while. So I was spending some time trying to record the guitar part in my bedroom. I was trying to play it clean - both the amp and the playing. Take after take - fail. I finally got a take that I felt was getting to where I wanted it to be when the wife walks in, goes into her closet, comes out with a plastic grocery bag and proceeds to crumple it a bunch of times as she walks out. I play the track back and lo and behold the Yeti mic picked up the crumple really well from about 12 feet away. DOH!!! I need a man cave.

Mitch that may be at the root of any playing problems you've been having. It's e-a-d-g-b-e. ROTFLMAO!!!! -
I am jealous. That sounds like a heck of a lot of fun.

Very cool pics! Looks like it was a good time.

-1 on the suburbs - thats just lame. If anyone needs help with hotels, I can offer suggestions that might be cheaper. Though a city event would be just fine, the 'burbs suggestion is not "lame". Especially, as David pointed out, the lower cost for travelers (do it in Rosemont and you're a max $10 cab ride from O'Hare), easier and cheaper parking (and access for driving in most cases) and decent hotel rates for hotels that are a step or two above the "cheaper" places in the city. Like the city idea, just don't want to limit any options by being snobbish against the suburbs. Rosemont is a smart suggestion. And if you do have any wanderlust, you can hop on the "L" at the River Rd. station and head into town. No problems. The "L" in Chicago will take you pretty much anywhere you want to go. And it has taken me places, I will never want to return to again.
