I know I'm going to pounded for this, but I think that the girl could flat out sing. While I have to smile at the cheezy antics of Celine Dion and Mariah Carey, some of Babs' stuff is amazing. So In Your Humble Opinion, boys and girls, what are those 2 must have Babs albums?

Was at a bar the other night having this very conversation. My friends and I ended up agreeing with Serial on song selection. But also important was having great vocalists. As for note-for-note guitar excellence, not that important.

Too bad its turned out this way. He's got a good product. He was great with me. Yes, he had me scared for a while on whether he was going to send me the bridge, but in the end he came through.

I've been remiss in my duties. Bubs was a great guy to deal with on this one. Great communication and easy transaction. As for the guitar. Played it. I thought about replacing the 59/JB pups with Rio Grandes. But instead, I broke out the soldering iron and swapped the stock capacitor with a Hovland Musicap I had in the parts drawer. The value of the capacitor was a little lower than the standard Hamer .01 uF. I've never really been a fan of the 59/JB. Always thought they sounded muddy and dark. In this particuar guitar with a cap that works really well to clean up the mud and let those higher frequencies shine through. I'm in heaven. The guitar absolutely rawks. Horsed around with various settings on the TM60 and I can't believe how they clean up and sparkle when playing clean. And I'm totally digging the crunch. I love this guitar.

This amp gets a lot of good reviews. Somebody should pick it up.

+1 on a swamp ash Daytona. I'm really impressed by the caliber of the instrument. As for the amp, I've been fixated lately on a mesa subway rocket. It should be loud enough for the gigs and should have enough gain to play some nirvana. And it is portable. Although, for flexibility, I have yet to find an amp that blows away a Tech21 TM60 - lightweight, powerful, and you can coax fender cleans, mesa gain, marshall crunch out of it. Is it the best clean, etc., nope. But they're good enough unless you're a die hard recording artist looking for that perfect tone.
