  1. You guys are hitting all my faves! Now I like Saxon and Krokus, they definitely rocked hard, but they are definitely coming close to the Spinal Tap line IMHO. Buckethead is flippin' off the hook.
  2. DUDE! I'm running in the Chicago Marathon on October 10, 2010. I would love to be able to add some HFC action to my trip. But that means that thousands of folks from out of town will be there for the marathon. It might make booking rooms tough on that weekend. But you never know... please keep us in the loop on the efforts.
  3. Really well done. Good work outta ya!
  4. That is horrible! Positive thoughts and prayers headed to Nashville.
  5. I love the look of that guitar. It's mesmerizing. I wonder if they have a plan for a set humbuckers in that body. I wish these liquid metal guys all the success in the world. You wonder how many who have built better mousetraps were never discovered by the public at large.
  6. A better album than Van Hagar's opening salvo that year? I say yes. Unquestionably. -Austin 5150 was a pretty good album. It sounds so dated now. But EAS is the one I listen to more and I still think its pretty damn cool. I'm not a Vai fanboy, but I like what he did on that record.
  7. Loved Eat 'em and Smile! The older I get, the more I like it.
  8. Now I know how much I gotta save up. I can't pull the trigger on that kind of dough without a major disturbance in the Force.
  9. Well...Dayum. That right there is something to be proud of. Good work outta ya.
  10. Ahhh yes....Helena Christiansen at her peak.
  11. maldita sea el diablo, carrajo!!! where's the sun when you need it.
  12. Sensei...mis pelotas son azul. muestrame las photos por favor.
  13. An easier answer would probably be what amp DOESN'T suit it. Really? Is that a mini-bucker or a P90? I thought the high gain amps didn't get along with those. I think that guitar is just about the perfect rock guitar.
  14. That guitar is awesome. Simple stripped down rockn'roll machine. What amp really suits it?
  15. Dude! Tell us how you did.
  16. I honestly can't tell if the neck material makes that much of a difference. My Daytonas are both ash and one has a maple fretboard and the other has rosewood. When they were stock, they pretty much sounded very similar. But then you run them through some distortion and who the hell knows what's going on. Well...maybe someone with good ears. So that's not me. I like my strat-types to have that maple fretboard. It just looks right to me that way. Same with a tele. Simple slabs of wood. Primal. But with a carved top, I prefer darker fretboards - reminds me of fine furniture.
  17. Kind of fun. Cookie monster / viking kings - cheesy.
  18. How about mahogany in a tobacco burst, flat top, sustain block? Anyone else?
  19. Darkburst. Love the look. Seems like there can be a huge variation in what is a '59. The mid-90s Archtop Studio Custom I had was mostly orangish-red with very little yellow/natural hues. The Amberburst was on my Talladega. Very nice. But...didn't wow me.
  20. Well...howdy. Glad to have you join us.
  21. If you don't like them, send them to me. I use them as decorations in my basement. I'll give you $50 bucks for each one you send me.
  22. You'll be OK! Just rock out and have a good time.
  23. VH - Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love!
