What your Spotify Wrapped listening age means : NPR Kinda reminds me of those old 'click-bait' quizzes that used to clog the Internet. I haven't touched anything like that in years, as I know that somebody 'out there' is just wanting to mine my preferences for profit, and otherwise could care less about what I really think. I have NO idea what my 'listening age' is, as my tastes are all over the place, and all the traditional methods that I used to use to find 'new music' (radio, TV, etc.) are all but dead. I don't do Spotify or any other streaming service. I've pretty much quit listening to anything that used to pass as 'current music' since roughly the mid '90's; nowadays, if I find anything new that I like, it's a happy accident. I wonder where 'Get Off My Lawn' sits in an age category?

The Blues Brothers movie was making the rounds on basic cable TV within the last week or so, so he'll live on in that, at least. RIP.

Pete Townsend used to do that (or so he said,allegedly), but he used to snap necks and other parts of guitars, too.

Like the old saying goes: 'Garbage in, garbage out.' One thing that strikes me about Generative AI is that 'grunt work' employees are likely to be the least at risk of losing their jobs, because humans are the ones that will probably still end up doing that, at low wages. The jokers pulling in six figures or more, on the other hand...

I don't worry about tariffs when it comes to music gear. I do what I pretty much have always done...buy used, and try to snag good stuff in the process. If I can't afford it, then I pass.

Reassembling Leo's office couldn't have been that difficult to save, for whatever they have in Fullerton that passes for a museum...besides, G&L had left the office for years just as Leo had last left it, so why not? I do like a head-to-head comparison where 'booteek' doesn't necessarily justify the price difference...and that I can also afford an alternative reasonable facsimile thereof, instead of either just booteek and/or vintage:
