  1. Every setup has its own purpose. I love humbuckers for the big, metal riffs, and P90s for shutting up all the other guitars in the band... P90s are the thing... i still keep one guitar with humbuckers.. Now, a Vee with a single in the neck and a hum in the back..that is a nice compromise
  2. Wow!!What a great looking axe!! Congratulations Len!!
  3. You are lucky to have such productions. I always thought that the Planets symphony was by Sibelius. Never too late to rectify. I hope to see that production around here some day .
  4. Preach it, brother: Freddie owned the stage, owned the songs, was cocky and ballsy on stage, an ego bigger than Wembley stadium, pretty different from his private person, who was ...well, shy. I get the impression listening to Adam that he didn't rehearse a lot or at least not as much as on AI..sounds like a sloppy job...maybe compare with Arnel Pineda and the job he's doing, or George Michael and his only Queen cover...
  5. Hummm maybe i was expecting too much of his performance based on what he did on AI...\ No doubt he has the voice..but he needs a LOT of polishing, less froufrou, and own the songs...maybe some more concerts and that will change, but i was more impressed by the AI show....
  6. Beautiful LP, good luck with the sale
  7. X Ray, at the customs?? You need a round trip somewhere???
  8. Congratulations!!! And yes, chicks are definitely attracted to Hamer guitars, cause we like quality and performance above everything else!!!! Enjoy every second, i wish you just bliss and fun (and more Hamers!)
  9. Live and let die

  10. that sounds like THE metal concert... so ....who's got a 747? Let's call Bruce (Dickinson) and ask him to be the pilot....
  11. It reminds me a lot of the style of this painter, but is more anthropomorphical on his compositions. His name is Manuel Mendive.
  12. Reminds me of French naive painters styles, and even more of creole styles (afro-caribean) In the hands of someone that appreciate that, it is a beautiful instrument. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...i like it
  13. My husband really like the Special with P90s and the Duotone Amps: the ones that doesn't make a lot of noise
  14. A friend of mine, that owns only Vees, asked me the same question a few years ago, and i told him i found it absurd...should we stop listening to Metallica when we turn 50?? Now..do you realize that a great part of the next wave of seniors (in about 30 years) will be hooked into Metal?? We will be seniors headbangers Should i be ashamed of my musical tastes?? ( i also enjoy punk metal...that's usually teenagers music) Too many questions, too little time, and you never know when you'll be leaving, so f**ck it..life's a beach and then you surf away...enjoy what you like and don't let anyone tell you you're too old for anything, including Vees
  15. My jaw just dropped to the floor Congratulations, you're a very lucky son
  16. You can invoke the need for a cohesive decorative scenario (music cave needs a fridge, so does guitar shop, band local, etc) :D
  17. ok, what are the safe alternatives??
  18. what Brooks says Hope you'll give us the step by steps pictures, looks beautiful now even if it is broken Have a great time restorating it
  19. Really sorry to hear that. Really a sad way to start the year. She went doing what she loved most. My condolences
  20. Welcome!!! You're gonna love it here!!!
  21. LED!!! Better definition, Image is better, no pixels, no points that could go off with time Energy saving as well Best bang for the buck : Samsung LED HDTV, no need to buy the latest series (7) 5 or 6 are awesome too.
  22. I'm under the impression that the real reason we're here is because we've created bonds stronger than Hamer guitars. I've got no GAS so far, all my guitars are Hamer, and quite probably (hopefully) my next one would be a Hamer again.
