Short-but-GREAT guitar solos...
BlueRedWhite replied to zorrow's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I still don't understand, why we don't have on the forum some long distance collabs. So many talented people (i'll exclude myself) I think there is no need for special occasion, or state of the art recording, just plain ol jamming and fun... -
Short-but-GREAT guitar solos...

That sounds great MCChris! -
A friend of mine here in Quebec has a Pacifica just like that one, amazing guitar. That's his main baby, we did a gig a few years back and that's what he used. I don't recall the insertS, but everything else is exactly like his down to the color. Sounds incredibly too. And it's great for AC/DC music (That's what we played)

The Artist Now Known as Dickhead

The other side to some musical virtuosos is that besides embodying all the magic to do good music, they may also carry on all the vices that makes a man a piece of shit. This a$$hole was jealous of this other musician's guitar. He knew it was a great guitar, he couldn't have it, so wouldn't the right owner. Disguise everything under a hendrix tantrum and voila, the master did an awesome performance. As they say, to know the real character of a man, give him money and power. He's a sad little man. -
Soon they'll be shredding in the womb
BlueRedWhite replied to specialk's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I started playing at that age. Classical guit, nylon strings, and tropical rythms, habaneras, boleros and all that, no picks, fingerpicking only. I didn't have the feeling for any song, the feeling comes with age and experience. And then, there was an unwritten rule that young children shouldn't play steel strings, so i only learned electric way later. So great for that kid, playing an electric, i think that's amazing. As long as he enjoys it, it's gonna be a piece of cake. -
Happy Bday y'all!!!

Who Needs A Fucking Microwave??
BlueRedWhite replied to Ting Ho Dung's question in Ask the HFC Experts
I love cooking and i think any mediums are good. I used to only used the microwave for heating leftovers, till i discovered some other nice things to do... Try asparagus on a plate with a bit of water for 4 mins...they are excellent!! Try spaguetti squash (a whole half) for 15 mins, awesome. Is good for a few things, and it is very handy if use correctly. I was invited last night to eat at a friend's and the rice, which was great, was done in the microwave. With the right tool, it was great..now the use for the microwave is very limited, but it can be more precise cooking tool for a few things.... Then, a convection oven.. I cannot live without it!!! -

I know it was coming, i just wasn't expecting it so soon.... Best guitars i've ever held in my hands... I know this is naive, but i always thought that if there was a very popular musician sporting a Hamer live on tv and talking about it, maybe the brand would have a chance...someone huge...is a wishful thinking but i think that could (have) made the difference... Let's hope that Fender is willing to let go or to revive it if the brand somehow becomes popular again... I got beautiful used Hamers, i knew that when i get what i wanted i would stop buying, i just regret not acquiring a Californian Elite, already pretty expensive compared to others before this news... then again...why despair...don't loose hope, everything is negotiable, let's see what happens I'll be buying at least one copy of serial's book for sure... it's pretty sad.... -
Hiya familia With the lease of my new car a few months back came an free offer for Sirius XM, which has become a great bang for the buck deal cause i get to listen to music i don't listen to normally. Being at home with the baby or driving i get to listen to great music or just a musician i didn't pay any attention before. I'm always attracted by the guitar, and the other day while on a traffic jam i discover this hell of a guitar solo..and damn!! It was Prince!! That guy would have been a star in the metal genre! So i did some wikipedia on the guy, i have to say, i got to admire him, he produce, records and play most instruments on his albums as well as having his own record studio, he's talented but is he overrated or not?? I just want to know who's a fan here, and their input on his music, and besides Purple Rain, what other album (with most rock influence) can be buy these days Gracias!!

Every setup has its own purpose. I love humbuckers for the big, metal riffs, and P90s for shutting up all the other guitars in the band... P90s are the thing... i still keep one guitar with humbuckers.. Now, a Vee with a single in the neck and a hum in the back..that is a nice compromise
