Congratulations! That's pretty awesome. I'm a one-or-two-pedal guy for the most part, so bear with me. Is the "magic" to get the pedals sounding as good as they should just having short enough patch cables and buffers in the right places?

+1 That sucks. Good luck to them.

Well played. I say that mostly because I came here to post the same thing. Isn't there a book? Hammer: The Untamed Story, I think...

Parts for an original Cruise Bass?

I have no answers for you but congrats on a great score and welcome to the HFC! -
I think one of you guys must have reported her. Her channel is back today... Ask and ye shall receive: And for those who said she should get out of the bedroom, she's got a few live videos too:

I guess I missed the fun... The video is now marked private. What's something to search for to try to find it? Edit: Never mind. I saw the highway to hell reference in the thread and saw another copy posted. I wonder why the account was suspended. Does YouTube do that for cover tunes?

Oh, I forgot the regular Taladega has a sustainblock bridge. I imagine that gives it some extra zing too.

Isn't the Pro the humbucker version with the rounded neck and the regular the one with the V neck and the phat cats? Edit: http://www.hamerguitars.com/?fa=talla

Pics or it didn't happen. (The funny thing is that I was going to comment on about a half dozen other posts, but this is the only one that really demanded follow-up.) -
Carvin Guitars--what's the REAL story?

That's some funny stuff right there. Quoted for truth. I smiled at that one. -
If you mean the black one, I'm working on it, but we're still working out the delivery. If you are still having problems with a case, try Musicians Friend. Find a MF brand hsc that will fit, have the seller order it. MF will ship for free so you don't get stuck with shipping both ways. Won't be a Hamer case, but safe shipping container and a box too. edit:GC ships free to AK too, but not as easy to deal with as MF. I agree that it's a good idea and it's part of the reason I opened that thread asking which cases will fit a standard. I'm glad to hear that MF will ship free up there. I'd spec'ed out an order with a few others and AK, HI, et al. were excluded from free shipping, so I'm shocked and pleased that they offer free shipping up there. I don't think it's sleazy... "Dude, buy a case to ship it in and add it to the price" hardly seems like an issue. Now if I ordered it, had it shipped to him for free, had him ship the guitar to me in it, and then I returned it after the guitar arrived gets into some gray areas. Who's your shipper of choice when shipping to "the lower 48"?

My son wants his own copy and to say he's lukewarm on guitars would be generous, so you must have done something special. Thanks for all the hard work. It's really a joy to read. Oh and dibs on the Spider-Man Cali!

We're weighing a bunch of options, that one just happens to be readily available near him (he's outside the lower 48). I'm really trying to avoid buying and shipping a case to him first, though I do have a line on a universal TKL explorer case locally. How do you all feel about shipping without a case by double-boxing it? From what I've read it sounds like that means: prep the guitar (depending on who you are, that's loosening the strings or not, and maybe a slice of bubble wrap between the strings and fretboard) newspaper around the guitar wrap it in bubble wrap box it surrounded by newspaper or more bubble wrap so that the guitar is immobilized in the inner box wrap THAT box in bubble wrap to immobilize it and then box it for shippingI'm sort of a guitar-shipping newbie, so I'm not really sure what's "enough".

That makes me feel a little less bad for having already ordered from Amazon when I read your "buy it anywhere but Amazon" post. Congratulations. Mine's out for delivery now. I was hoping to have a nice Standard in-hand (or at least en route) before the used Hamer market a'splodes from the new book, but clearly it was not to be.

Lately this has been doing it for me when I need to snap out of it. Edit: Summer Song is a good call too. Actually almost any of Satch's uptempo radio-rockers will make me smile a little. Radar Love is another one I'm partial to... Come to think of it, if it's a good "driving song", it's likely going to cheer me up.

Wow. HBD Brandon!
