Every Morphine album, but definitely 'Cure For Pain' and also Charlie Hunter and Pound for Pound's "Return of the Candyman" (all instrumental). Let the clothes fall where they may. Geoff -

Woah... Hold on... Let me back up and try this more clearly. Stokes is the man. He's looking for a great guitar, so somebody please hook him up. Send him all the info and offers, as he asked for, via pm/email privately. In the event that he passes on one through private communications, I'd hope to see it posted for sale publicly on the HFC. No disrespect or douchebaggery intended, and if you feel that I've hijacked in any way, I'll apologize and delete my posts. I'm just sure there are a bunch of great ones out there. But please go through Stokes first at stokesdead@yahoo.com. Nothin' but love, GH -

Duotone 12 string - Ric-like??
geoff_hartwell replied to Citrus's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I love my Eclipse 12er. Definitely not overly-jangly. And just like I like it. You're prob a lot more likely to come across one of these before a Newport or Duotone. Worth a spin! Geoff -

If You Could Go To Only One More Concert...

Ha ha. Right On. They tend to have a ton of sit-in guests also. But definitely the Beacon Theater here in NY. I've been a wasted kid tripping in the cheap seats, as well as a douchebag in the front row, and also a guest backstage. That band at that venue, to me, is heaven. At least, I hope that's what heaven smells like! Geoff -
Dibs if they don't! Geoff

LMFAO... Annie was just passing through the room as this was onscreen and she said, "Why is he drinking maple syrup?" I almost choked. Cheers, Geoff -

suggestions on metal etc

imho, the best pantera is their "best of" comp, same w/ MSG, & judas priest. some bands best collection is live; kiss "alive!", motorhead "no sleep til hammersmith", thin lizzy "live and dangerous". kings x are kinda metal at times, their heaviest and one of their best is "dogman". Plus 1,000,000 on King's X and Dogman. One of my desert island faves. Their best-of is a good overview, and their newest studio album, XV, has the highest concentration of good tunes of the last several. They're re-issuing a TON of old live stuff from different periods too. GH -

Master of Puppets, and Ride the Lightning - IMHO the best of the Cliff Burton-era Metallica. They really were the best at one point! GH -
I actually love stuff like this from a rhythm standpoint - this style of metal drumming is killer. And I'm amazed at how clear his diction is, given the cookie monster thing. If these guys had a Maynard James Keenan/ or even a Bruce Dickinson-type singer I'd like them a whole lot.
