Jimbilly Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 too rare, I was just thinking of the story where the guy found one locally at a garage sale or something for ridiculously cheap, was it a 5 string for $300? - quite a while ago as I recall, that story keeps me going to garage sales 2 1 Quote
Steve Haynie Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 I remember finally getting to try one out. Because I was used to my other basses, the Impact did not immediately feel right. There was no instant bond. If there was more time to play it, my thoughts might be different. It would be nice to have one. Then there would be time to get used to the Impact and have a better informed opinion. 4 Quote
veatch Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 I still think an Impact guitar would have been epic. Lita has one, but I'm pretty sure that was the only one ever made. 3 Quote

cmatthes Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 I never liked the way they looked back in the 80s and early 90s. I didn't get it...until I played one. 4 Quote

The 2nd version of the first Cruise model was made during the same time period as the Impact basses. They will (most probably) have the same type necks and the same Hamer/Dimarzio Slammer pickups. 1 Quote
Jimbilly Posted June 6, 2025 Posted June 6, 2025 1st gen with slammer pups? This '94 gen 2 'max' (?) with emg's is as close as I'll likely ever get to an Impact. 8 Quote
