Willie G. Moseley Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 Cross yer fingers---we're trying to get this out in time for the erstwhile-Arlington show, now being held in Mesquite. Here's the cover and a sample color page. Rev. Gibbons was responsible for the foreword, and folks who participated included Greg Martin, Eric Johnson, Jon Butcher, Butch Walker, Fred Newell, Davi Lee HOlt, Mats Jepson, Ray Benson, and others. Also got input from a few disreputable characters who are pretty well known on this forum. Spread the word! This has been al ong time coming but I'm pleased with how it turned out. The neurologist is still allowing me to drive, so I'm planning on peddling and signing copies at the Vintage Guitar Magazine space. Hope to see you there!
donner Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 Urgently required: Int'l shipping (at least within the HFC)! Edited to add: Thanx to the neurologist, too!
Willie G. Moseley Posted July 16, 2025 Author Posted July 16, 2025 ^^^Not really set up to be overtly marketing books myself except at the show. Amazon, Thriftbooks, etc. should have it.
Willie G. Moseley Posted August 4, 2025 Author Posted August 4, 2025 UPDATE: Here's the complete cover, front and back. Was supposed to have gone to press last week. Too early on Monday to confirm. Per Kizanski's observation, it will be on pre-order status with Amazon, etc. but can also be ordered (or pre-ordered) direct from publisher, acclaimpress.com. We're still on track for the debut signing at the Mesquite show in mid-October.
Steve Haynie Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 Your new book is not on the publisher's web site yet.
hamerhead Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 How'd I miss this?? Love your stuff, Willie. Sign me up!

Willie G. Moseley Posted August 5, 2025 Author Posted August 5, 2025 I'll post here when the book is available for pre-order from the publisher. Can't do any prediction with Amazon, etc.
Jakeboy Posted August 5, 2025 Posted August 5, 2025 This is very cool, Willie G! I am friends with Greg Martin and was completely unaware he had ever played a Robin! I’ll ask Pope Bubba about it next time I see him. This will be a good read!
Travis Posted August 5, 2025 Posted August 5, 2025 Not sure how I missed this original post. But, I’m for sure in for a copy. I’ll keep checking to see when it’s available for order/pre-order.
Willie G. Moseley Posted August 7, 2025 Author Posted August 7, 2025 UPDATE: Publisher is now accepting pre-orders. https://www.acclaimpress.com/books/thunder-out-of-texas/ If I have leftover copies of the special premier edition that we're taking to Mesquite, I'll being 'em home and peddle signed books from here.

Willie G. Moseley Posted September 9, 2025 Author Posted September 9, 2025 Already? Wonder how many HFCers may be champing at the bit for this but can they hold out until they attend he Mesquite show next month (limited edition signed copies at the venue; I'll be at the show both days)

currypowder Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 I’m planning to be at the Mesquite show, look forward to stopping by the booth and meeting you, Willie. And getting a signed copy of the book.
