Mobster Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Here you go, the two Standards: I was feeling a little patriotic today: That's a setneck Cali custom in Pearl White: Some extras:
Scottcrud Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 is that last one a monaco prototype ? It looks like a monaco, but different.
tomteriffic Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 is that last one a monaco prototype ? It looks like a monaco, but different. Scott, that's from some years back. It's a Jack Frost model. I know they're as rare as hen's teeth and this MAY be the only one set up this way. Mobbie can fill in the details. I just know it's rare as hell.
Mobster Posted April 1, 2005 Author Posted April 1, 2005 is that last one a monaco prototype ? It looks like a monaco, but different. Flat out custom, Scottcrud. 1 of about 4.It's a 1995 model. Nothing like a Monaco. One of the coolest Hamers ever, IMO.
RacerX Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Just as I thought, They look killer together! Great job Greg! And we all thank you for the inspiring porn!Mark.
Mike_C Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Damn That's a nice fine family of guitars you got there. Hell with the three (two standards and the cali) it's always the fourth of July.
atquinn Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 If'n you ever want to move that setneck Cali, you know who to call!-Austin

silentman Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 uber cool. I have to get a family shot of mine. Not enough stands though. I'll have to borrow some.
Mobster Posted April 1, 2005 Author Posted April 1, 2005 uber cool. I have to get a family shot of mine. Not enough stands though. I'll have to borrow some. Ebay, Lou...I think there are a bunch of dealers that get those things from some factory in the deep dark recesses of asia or something.I got 12 of those crummy black stands for like 3 bucks apiece. They are kind of crappy, but for taking photos and just storing some guitars in the house (i.e. I wouldn't EVER trust these on a gig) they are fine. Great for taking photos of a bunch of guitars.
Mike_C Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 here is a good stand not to much coin either. perfect for Standards I have 3 of them. Ultimate's Genesis 100 Guitar Stand
silentman Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I have a few of them myself (ultimates). Not enough for a good family shot though.
phoenix Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Holy shit those are awesome. Especially with the added bonus of furry feet in the background.
Mobster Posted April 1, 2005 Author Posted April 1, 2005 Holy shit those are awesome. Especially with the added bonus of furry feet in the background. It's tough to get them out of the picture when they are running all over the place.
phoenix Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I think the 'happy to be out' gait is fitting for the celebration. congrats!
Guest galejt Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I just emailed your red white and blue pic to my homies in Iraq. They'll get a big kick out of it. Thanks.Jim
Scooter Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 OMG, Mobbie! I love your collection more than anybody's here! You dog!Say, does that purple monster have a name? It would be nice to refer to it as "The ____ Model", or "The Custom _____", or simply "The _____". I hope somebody creative can fill in the blank....
HamStd Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Mike you wrong there. I believe that guitar is referred to as " The purple one that Mobster sold to Hamstd for $350" model.Peter.

It would be nice to refer to it as "The ____ Model", or "The Custom _____", or simply "The _____". I hope somebody creative can fill in the blank.... Thanks-I'm going to try and take some pictures of all of the guitars this weekend. That Purple guitar is just a Custom Singlecut. The body is actually a singlecut Watson (same fully blended neck joint and belly cut in the back), but it's got a 24.75 scale 24 fret neck. It's not really a "model."I think one with the Scarab cutout was made for Steve Brown, and 2 (maybe 3) were made for Mark Younger Smith, and one was made for Jack. Jack's was the only Flametop one. Steve's was quilted in Salmon Blush, and Mark's were White and Black sparkle. I also have heard from Jack that he knew of another white one out there.Chris Matthes tells me there might be a 4 string bass version out there as well.Glen Cambell's 12 string is NOT the same body style-that's more of a TLE variant.
