DavidE Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I've heard great things about the Orvilles. My Edwards is a killer Les Paul bar none. I'm just a sucker for marketing I guess. Plus, I think all of the Edwards LP's have the long neck tenon the boutique geeks seem to want.
kurtsstuff Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Hmmmm??....That Black custom would be perfect to use as a stand in for the guitar my G.F. got me...thats no longer here but...I've since bought another to cover my ass and if I had this one of Gregs...I could sell the real one I just got.....hmm??......yeah.....sucks to be me sometimes....lol!!

My guitar..It's a long sad story and most here know it only too well so I won't regurgitate it again. But...I'm going to post a for sale ad for it here in a minute,,,,then I'm going to figure out how to get Gregs Orville but time it right to look as though "it's coming back from being refretted or something" So..I think I'll buy the Orville...have Greg hold it while I unload the Gibson and after that sells...have Greg ship the Orville a couple weeks later.....I'M SO FRICKIN SMART!!!! ...hehehe..

Actually, I'm not certain.Sonically it is a moot point. If you would have heard it (as I did last Friday) when Greg plugged it into the Genz Benz Black Pearl when I was out there.... good golly Gertie. I wouldn't be parting with it if I wasn't unemployed. Whoever snags it will have a honeymoon that will last a VERY long time.. guaranteed.
BCR Greg Posted March 2, 2007 Author Posted March 2, 2007 Since so many are asking about it but haven't grabbed, I thought I'd post that a guy walked in, saw the Orville and plunked down a deposit on it.BAM!!!!I just plugged the Edwards Flametop in to demo and amp and the guy started crying. Seems that he just today put a deposit on a Les Paul Historic down the street. A nonrefundable deposit.He bought the amp, but his wife squashed the Edwards addition to the ticket!"ONE Les Paul, and you already spent a thousand on one today!"Poor sap.
