jisham Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 my new band only does 70s covers What happened to the metal band? The 70's cover band sounds cool! I'm off to check the link... Typical band soap opera stuff but basically, the drummer and I walked out on the same night and I haven't looked back.
elduave Posted March 3, 2005 Author Posted March 3, 2005 Jaye: I'll be happy to meet you over there sometime - you actually do NEED a Standard, don't you?! I didn't know that you could get the double cream Duncans - that looks SO much better! That would be cool Chris...my new band only does 70s covers and a bunch of them are Cheap Trick. The bassist has a Hamer 12ver too! Cool band! This will be the second band of yours that I know somebody from. Tony Leicht & I did the deal for Kilroys checkerboard Standard...
Craig Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Nice work Dave! I think that this shows not only that Hamer can do anything you want (barring Chaps), but that Hamer buyers have just as good a selection of top notch dealers as they do custom choices. My hats off to all the fellas making things like this happen. Lots of luck with your new business!
jisham Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Cool band! This will be the second band of yours that I know somebody from. Tony Leicht & I did the deal for Kilroys checkerboard Standard... Small world, even in the DC area huh? I met Tony because he bought one of my GMPs last fall and then start doing all the tech work on my guitars. One thing lead to another and here I am...

cmatthes Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 I believe that Green Standard has a Single-piece body. I'm running around today, so may stop by Rocketeria to double check in person. I got to see that one hanging in the factory a few weeks ago, and it looks even nicer now all put together. That one is very cool - the first Standard I actually saw was a Greenburst one back in '80 or '81.

zorrow Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Bump 'cause Green guitars where mentioned on the main page and for new pics as well... Dave, Dave, Dave... That Emerald Green Standard is torturing me. :-D But I think I'll go first with the (much much cheaper) Vector Flametop -- though you'll tell me the price of this other beauty. It looks amazing! CU, Zorrow
Mike_C Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Elduave you should send a pic of that greenie to Stonge. He's a greenie lover.
Guitarseh Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Played the green standard unplugged the other day, and it is sweet. Nice sized neck, good unplugged sound, and looks killa, of course. Maybe next year MarkB
