zorrow Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I got from John (peedenmark7) his 81 Vector Camouflage, which someone said to me it was exhibited at NAMM 81 -- BTW, any pictures of that, please? Well, in few words, I'm speechless with this guitar... First of all, this thing looks so cool with all those cracks on the nitrocellulose coating... In addition, I thought I wouldn't like the custom finish (I'm more of a traditionalist in that aspect) but I'm glad to say that I finally dig it -- I really do! On the sonic aspect, this machine really screams and sings through my rig. Talk about tone! I think it is up there with my main guitar -- the Vector 84 I got from Peter. I believe the pups are Slammers -- please correct me if I'm wrong. The only thing I will change is that the action is set very low for my tastes. I'm going to take care of that in brief. This "tone lady" deserves a pro setup and a set of 10-46 strings. So, I can't wait now to jam with Nick and the others. They will see me with this weapon in my hands and I am sure they will say "WOW MAN!!!", but then they will shit in their pants when they will listen to it! By the way, the deal with John was very smooth. He even shipped it to Canada! On the even funnier side, he packaged it so well that the girl from the post office was laughing at me while I was trying to get it out from the box. Talk about tons of protecting pads and stuff! Finally, as this topic would be pointless without pictures, here you have some taken with my low-res cell phone camera -- sorry for the bad quality, but enjoy anyway! She alone in the basement throne. Me handling her -- sorry, no shirt and a hairy chest (if there anything wrong with that, please just let me know and I'll remove it right away) Me trying to take a picture of her not too far from me.
serial Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 If I can track down the issue of Guitar Player with that in it (I think it had an L5 on the cover or something-it's been a while), I'll scan it for ya.The pic of the foot crosses the line dude...
Steve Haynie Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Cool guitar! The camo finish combined with a Vector makes me think "Accept." Udo wore camo and Wolf Hoffman played a white Hamer Vector back when they opened for Ozzy years ago.
BlueRedWhite Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Wow, really beautiful!! When i read Camo, i thought it was going to be greener, but is has a nice shade! You have to post some music with it now
sw686blue Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Holy shit that's cool. Hopefully we can hook up this weekend and I'll take some better shots of the camo V.
MCChris Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 You being a Vector fan, this has to be the pinnacle for you. Cool as hell!As for the shirtless pic, in certain circles you'd be classified as a "bear" LOL!

peedenmark7 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 glad she made it safely ! [surprised at the length of time though]the pickups are factory hamer/dimarzios, but notice the reverse zebra bridge and double cream neck, not a solder joint touched on this one !she really sings through an old 50 watt master vol.Ionel is tops to deal with, cant say enough good ! enjoy your new vec !
