Cheap Chick Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 Cheap Chick are playing On the Waterfront in Rockford Labor Day weekend! Which is kinda like Lez Zeppelin playing Hammersmith Odeon or Grand Punk Railroad playing the Local 432 in Flint. Yep! We're playing Cheap Trick's hometown! We're pretty excited about it. So, hope to see some of you Illini at the show - Cheap Trick are playing there the night before us, so you can take notes and see who threw out more picks! We'll be there for the Cheap Trick show and I'll be hanging out in the midwest for kicks afterwards, since it's a long weekend.

There's a chance that I'll be in Peoria, Illinois for my 20th high school reunion that weekend, and if it doesn't conflict with a can't-miss event, I'll hop in the car and make the three-hour trek. I've always wanted to visit Rockford anyway on a CT pilgramage.

Seriously though; Rockford's about as close as CC has gotten to the east coast since I've known about you. It would be difficult to make that trip and then do the HFC8 so soon afterward. HMMM ..;.. I'm thinkin' about it....

If it ends up being just Friday, we can do the 4-3-2-1 hoedown on Saturday...if you're up for it. I'll bring the ho (me) if ya'll are ready to get down! LOL Ahhh.. I'm such a damn comedian when I get home from practice/drinking.I just got your email Bruce about Sunday being a bad day for 4-3-2-1age, so iffen I'm booked in Rockfish on Fri and Sat maybe we can book the mobile 4-3-2-1 somewheres else on Sunday and you can just show up when you're done with your festivities elsewhere. Though it will NOT be the same as the real deal. Sid also offered a sleeping spot for a poor wandering rock bassist, so if you aren't planning on coming home on Sunday, I'll be taken care of.
