Feynman Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ht_10830wt_1165That seller sounds vaguely familiar to me, but I can't quite place it. Probably from the Parker forums.
esquared Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I think it is the same guy the selling the super custom Korean Hamer. Hehehehehehe JKdon't know the history but I know Kiz was around here for a long time.
gorch Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 It's an early model, from 2007. It looks pretty nice and might sale for a good price.

BubbaVO Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Sweet. Hmmm....let's see if some tax refund money comes back.
JefeMaximo Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Balls of steel is right. This is a tough market. What a great guitar, though. Bid if you can.
cmatthes Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 That seller sounds vaguely familiar to me, but I can't quite place it. Probably from the Parker forums. Well, he IS a huge Adrian Belew fan! Some very nice stuff there, and balls of steel indeed.
edgar_allan_poe Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 F him!!! I offered him $350 and a killer Strat and he told me "no". Forget the fact that the Strat in question is actually his and he loaned it to me.This loser probably gets hurt doing yoga. I'll bet he is a total panzy.
Feynman Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 Yeah - I sent in some really relevant questions about the guitar and have received no reply myself. --- EDITED TO ADD: Naturally I am kidding here and we all know the seller is a top notch upstanding HFC member.
MarkF786 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 I find it suspicious that the price has risen so fast at the beginning of the auction. Usually prices will stay pretty low until near the end.Still, I'm watching the auction. Considering the one that sold for $1600 last week, if I could get a similar deal I'd like to buy one. I love my Tally Pro so much that I'd like to also have a standard Tally.Mark

The seller is someone I know personally and who has a stellar reputation on this board. And since when are there rules on eBay with no reserve auctions? I always bid throughout an auction if I'm interested in something-I finfmd doing that weeds out a lot of the less-serious bidders and gives me the opportunity to possibly lull a high bidder into complacency...I wouldnt worry about any hijinks on this one and it could be a steal on the guitar for sure.
jisham Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Said seller used to always tell me to use no reserve auctions and I'd have nothing to do with it...I always preferred Buy It Nows and did well. However, because of the weird selling market right now, I went with no reserve auctions on the last two guitars I sold on ebay. Both times I ended up getting more than $150 (and in one case $325!) more than I hoped.Said seller is top notch as everyone here knows.

I think many people don't want to show their interest at first because it can quickly raise the price. Many times when I've sold something, I get no bids until near the end of the auction (though I can see that many people are "watching" the item).Mark

I have a few hundred positive feedbacks between my Fleabay accounts with no negs.

burningyen Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I never use a reserve on my auctions, but I do use a starting price I can live with. It's weird, after trying to sell my Double Drive for a month at $90 without a single e-mail or PM of interest, I put it on eBay with a $60 starting price and got $142 for it.
