Vonnie R Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Technically, I'm new so hey to those I don't know yet. I play a badass '92 Chap bass with factory EMGs and I sing a little. But I've had so many experiences with so many of you that I don't really feel new: I've danced with Gene Kelly (aka BTMN) in Tampa. MCChris LOVES my potatoes. And he completely understood why the Jamaican authorities chose to frisk me, instead of the alternative. J Gale came all the way to our wedding to bring us a heavy metal chicken. Hamerica makes killer steaks and can't for the life of him keep his dog's paws clean. Done beer shots with Brody, but only every other day. Introduced Madame Pamita to crawfish, which isn't technically meat. Love Gwayne's meat rub and homemade sauce. Would eat anything Cajunboy puts in front of me. Learned via phone BCR Greg is so hott, the sun calls him up and asks him how he got so hott. Played a badass rendition of Bang a Gong with BruceM. He's the T-Rex of the milennium. Narrowly avoided death at the hands of Eric Weston over the Vikings' inability to post stats that really matter. 4-3-2-1 Club ...Taught Badger Dave and BillW to flip the bird (no wait, that was Jeff, that night's a little fuzzy). Helped Tombo find his lost accent. Shared the joy of alligator sausage with Shredmonster, Ray, Joe and Sid. Pulled Ted Martin aside and told him this HFC thing is just a passing fad... And taught Mad Man Mike the true meaning of healthy competition. "Minnesota Fats, meet Louisiana Slim." If I've left anyone out, I'm sorry ... I'm just overwhelmed shopping for a 12-string bass and a Virt (the latter because Jeff assures me my life will be more complete with one).

Jeff R Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Vonnie, I've hung out with ya, me and P.N.D..... Dayum, guess I/We don't rate. Ahh, Vonnie told me a few HFC'ers we've hung with would likely slip her mind when she was posting that. She also briefly forgot about "Mindseye" Gray and his wife's trip to our place to hang one afternoon, plus visits with friend George4 and his wife who up until recently lived in the city next to ours. Funny story about when the Pasadena Napalm Division tour came through south Louisiana. Vonnie called one of her best friends of the last 20 years (who has a reputation for liking "bad boys") to come hang out with all of us ... Vonnie: "Hey, wanna come over? Jeff's making a gumbo." Charlene: "Oh, I dunno, stuff going on, you know how it goes..." Vonnie: "Did I mention a thrash band from Texas is stopping over on their way to a show?" Charlene: "What time?"
JGale Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Hey! Who are you and what have you done with VonnieR!?
