blackfbiv Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 We've been doing Frampton's - Show Me The Way for some time.It's well rehearsed and pretty tight.Our singer/guitar player has been wood shedding with the old 'Talk Box'Broke it out the other night and holy cow, it makes the difference in that song BIG time.Of course, we laughed our butts off the first couple run-throughs due to his odd facial contortions. (And as the chorus was morphed into " I want you, to bl*w me that way". )Now onto 'Kickstart My Heart' maybe...

rj2858 Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 With all due respect to the other Talk Box songs mentioned, I chose the ones I did, because anyone that likes "Show me the way", would probably piss themselves if his band did the others.Maybe some of you aren't old enough to remember this, but where I grew up, in 1977, if someone played "Show me the way" at a party, the reaction would be the same as what most of us feel towards "Livin' on a prayer".(Note to self, I've GOT to start using emoticons in my posts, sheeesh!)

Doing a block party on June 30... after that we can start to refine... right now we're in 'let's have enough songs for 3 short sets' territory.AIC's 'Man in the Box'... hmmmm

AIC's 'Man in the Box'... hmmmm Our band does AIC's MITB, although sans talk box. Instead we use the wahs and it comes out fairly okay.
