gorch Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 That looks pretty nice. Does it need any extension? What's down under?
proxmax Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 that's an headphone amp i got left from the axe fx ultra.it's still practical for other listeners or playin with other soundfiles.the kemper doesn't have an interface built in, that's all you need to add.
Boomerang~Junkie Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Good grief, this thread is all I needed to see and right before Christmas to boot. This appears to be a much more advanced iteration of the Line 6 Vetta Head or HD500, but only on some serious steroids. And I like the design and overall layout better.
burningyen Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Practicing for next month's gig:Pink Floyd's Dogs
Feynman Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Is there anything you can't play? Very nice. Weird guitar though.

burningyen Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 there is a 30% off at http://www.theampfactory.com/ for great profiles.code: BF2014FWIW, I used The Amp Factory's '58 Tweed Pro profiles for that last clip. I love Andy's work!
Sugartune Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 This machine (and Bens playing) rocks! Now I really want to try one. Always poo pood the digital stuff. This is clearly on a completely different level.
Brooks Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 ben, that was great.I have played thru a pals kemper; it really is badass, much better than the axe fx and tonelab i used in the rush tribute.
proxmax Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 i had the axe fx ultra earlier - the kemper beats it easily and is way better to handle...
Feynman Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Whoa, Proxmax and I have the same taste in headphones!
proxmax Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 you got a good taste i love the beyerdynamics dt 880 for their linearity and clearity. perfect for the kemper.
DBraz Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 The Axe Ultra isn't a patch on the 2.If the 2 is a 10, the Ultra is a 4. Especially at volume.
proxmax Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 i know the axe 2 is better than the ultra but still can't stack up against the kemper.the amps sound way more natural and nearer in the feel to a real tube amp.don't take me wrong, the axe 2 is still a great unit and the effects are just awesome.
tobereeno Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 goddamnit this is why hanging out on this board causes money to go out the door! tbh, for a rock musician I've never really been fully comfortable with knobs, let alone menus, and the way technology continues to explode...I recently bought a Line 6 Amplifi 75 as a bedroom practice amp; you have to use an app on your phone to really control the thing. So many steps between picking up a guitar and getting some music going :/ ok, so there was "modeling" and now it's "profiling". got it. Those clips sound stunning though; I'm really going to have to look into this.
proxmax Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 guys, i tweeked today a Diezel VH4 profile at the kemper that was nearly to jerk off... for this tone you have to be really loud normally.
burningyen Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 My latest installment: I footswitched the Kemper's harmonizer effect in and out live, no overdubs.
atquinn Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 My latest installment: I footswitched the Kemper's harmonizer effect in and out live, no overdubs. Are you using the actual pickups or the modelled pickups? Either way, sounds great. - Austin
Michael_B Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 My latest installment: I footswitched the Kemper's harmonizer effect in and out live, no overdubs. Amazing work. You may have written about it already, and I may have missed it. It looks like you're using a Variax, what do you think of it?
Hamer_SS_guy Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Well, okay, I have seen several clips of the Kemper, I admit the sounds are nice. Yet, I am the kind of guy who likes to have a nice clean sounding tube amp, and a nice gain channel, some stomp boxes and that's it. A thing like a Kemper might give me headaches with it's possibilities. When I do some recording I use Amplitube, it sounds great to me. But even with all it's possibilities I end up with the kind of similar sounds which other people wouldn't hear any difference. While I am not a tube amp purist I like simplicity that I find in the amps I have (which are tube amps, guitar AND bass).
