Learning songs with tab--anyone use Songsterr or something similar?

A co-worker uses Songsterr to learn new songs, but the app is $20. Still, they have some obscure bands which I like. From what I've seen fo far, it seems to be worth the price of admission. The only thing that some people don't like, is there are only two playback speeds--regular, and half speed.

So, does anyone use that app or something similar?

Find the song on youtube and just use the tab, no need for the app?

I find songster tab to be pretty good, as far as online tab goes. Their search engine sucks though, maybe you need the app lol?

I just search on "startpage" for the song and add songster, if it's on there it comes up.

I mostly use youtube now. There are some "tutorials" that are wrong so you may have to spend some time searching.

I didn't know there was an app for songsterr. I've used it occasionally but a few months ago I signed up for their 9 dollar a month deal because I wanted to print out several parts for other players. To do most anything on the site you have to pay up i.e. print the tabs. Then I forgot to cancel and have been charged 9 bucks each month for nothing. Their tabs do seem fairly close though.

I have Guitar pro 6. Bought it once for a another reason. There is a ton of free tabs out there. It's got great training tools in there.

I'm with Herr Gorch on this'un. I use GP5 and have found it really helpful for transcribing.

Ultimate Guitar Tabs is an iPhone app... $2.99 for the ware. then it's like $8 a year for content... oh it works great on iPad too

I use it to speed the learning process for bass lines. The old memory ain't what it used to be

What is OLGA? and not the Ussr Cheerleader.

From the OLGA Wikipedia article:

The On-line Guitar Archive (OLGA) was the first Internet library of guitar and bass tablature, or "tabs". Born from a collection of guitarist internet-forum archives, it was a useful resource for musicians of all genres for over a decade.
