LucSulla Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hamer-T-62-90-039-s-USA-Flame-Top-And-Back-Birdseye-Neck-Nicest-One-Ever-Strat-/271628572604?&_trksid=p2056016.m2518.l4276 No affil. I know nothing about these really, but it sure does look pretty.
LucSulla Posted October 7, 2014 Author Posted October 7, 2014 I think it may actually be a VIntage S, though I am not real great with Hamer's Fender-esque stuff.
carfish7 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Vintage S indeed. I'd hit it, but not for that price..........
carfish7 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Hmm. I wonder if the preamp still worked and if he had the trem arm? Beauty guitar and I really like the hummer in the bridge version.
Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 So what do these things go for?$1000? $1200?
BadgerDave Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 So what do these things go for?$1000? $1200?$1,300.00Click on "See Original Listing", then "Print". It will display the successful best offer price.

Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 So $1300 is a good buying price, a decent buying price, or dead on?
ARM OF HAMER Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 That neck is unreal, beautiful birdseye! Great looking guitar!
Boomerang~Junkie Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 It looks really nice and does not have gold hardware. The necks on both of mine are also insanely nice birdseye maple like that one - I've never seen one with an average looking neck. Mint, with the on board EQ working and without the factory HSC - I think that's still a bit high. Hell, the market is all over the place on these what do I know?Did someone here snag that one?
LucSulla Posted October 7, 2014 Author Posted October 7, 2014 I gave it a shot just because they are rare, but not I.
DBraz Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Beautiful. That is a work of art, as are many Hamers.
mc2 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 So $1300 is a good buying price, a decent buying price, or dead on?I think that's about right....although I bet the seller could have gotten his price if he let it run. These don't pop up all that often and this one was real clean, plus no gold hardware.
atquinn Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Yeah, that was definitely not the "typical" Vintage S. No gold hardware and the SSH layout make it more desirable IMO.-Austin
Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 It is completely missing the pre-amp. Seller offered me a chance to back out.I think I still want it, tho.In many ways, this is more desirable than the black flame Cali Elite with the two synth holes that sold recently for $1500.It would be better with the pre-amp, but I like the flame, the flame color, the rarity, the birdseye maple, the 22 frets, the H/S/S...even without the ebony/boomers.I mean, IF I had put in an offer that was accepted, of course.
carfish7 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Love it. Love mine too, except for the loose trem arm. I hope you have better luck with that, or maybe a floppy arm isn't a problem for you. She sure is a beauty!

That's just me though.-Austin
Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Eh, you can't miss what you never had.
atquinn Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Yeah but I've had 3 Hamers with that pre-amp in them (a T62 and 2 Vintage S's), so... - Austin
