Cary Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Two hours later and this is still there? These things are rarer than 4 digit Standards.
cmatthes Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Well, they WEREN'T until Nikki Sixx destroyed half of them!
Cary Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 I just know when I saw this, I spent some time justifying why I don't need a second one. I was playing ine the other day, and it's just MASSIVE. If God played bass, it would be an FBIV.
cmatthes Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 is that a badass 1 bridge on that bass?Stock Hamer-branded Schaller roller bridge.
sledhead44 Posted May 19, 2015 Author Posted May 19, 2015 No longer listed. Who got it? Better show us some pics!
ajm1966 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 i still see it .......too rich for my blood ....if it was one of those 2 tone brown versions , i'd be all over it http://www.guitarcenter.com/Hamer-Used-Hamer-FBIV-Thunderbird-Black-Electric-Bass-Guitar-111175046-i4349616.gc
sledhead44 Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 That's wierd... it was not listed at all yesterday.
mc2 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 That's just the GAS demons screwing with your monitor so you think it is gone Good price. Same guy traded in the FBIV, the Cruisebass and a Phantom 6-string....I was told he was the original owner and they were all very clean pieces. I wouldn't hold your breath for a sunburst FBIV. I had the only two I have seen in 15 years of searching.
vicjoy1945 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 The Phantom had a quarter-size chip down to the wood on the upper side of the guitar you couldn't quite see from the pic. Other than that I believe it was in very nice shape.
Hamer Dave Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 1986. What should OHSC look like? Red inside? What years are the 'Velcro' neck strap/hold down?
cmatthes Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 If that has a Hamer FB case, it doesn't matter. The cases are far more rare than those basses.
Nocturnal Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 I just know when I saw this, I spent some time justifying why I don't need a second one. I was playing ine the other day, and it's just MASSIVE. If God played bass, it would be an FBIV. I was able to justify buying 2. But then I'm a pushover when it comes to things I really like I just wish I could justify a third (by justify, I mean afford to buy).
ARM OF HAMER Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 2........ GULP! and....................................WOW! Beyond cool right there!
Hamer Dave Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 If that has a Hamer FB case, it doesn't matter. The cases are far more rare than those basses.Would it be form fitted? This looks like it could e used for a Standard as well.
cmatthes Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 The FB cases are longer than a Standard case, but if not form fit, could probably work for a Blitz or Standard Bass.
chromium Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 I was able to justify buying 2. But then I'm a pushover when it comes to things I really like I just wish I could justify a third (by justify, I mean afford to buy). Both of those are killer basses! Cool how the neck profiles, pickups/electronic config, and heads differ so much between those two... Now you need one in the Sixx graphic/striped finish to complete the trifecta!
Hamer Dave Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 The FB cases are longer than a Standard case, but if not form fit, could probably work for a Blitz or Standard Bass. So, is there some unique feature of a FB bass case?
