Anyone know the process to do a Pink Pearl finish?

Building a guitar and needs to be close to Pink Pearl like the Steve Stevens in the link below.

Never did this type of pearl finish before.

Anyone know what Hamer used for this and what the process was?

I'm not familiar with the Steve Stevens model, but shouldn't there be a serial number here?

I think they used real crushed pearls, mixed in with some real pink. Voila!

I think it looks like he has the serial number covered up with tape or something.

Anyway Ill try some pink nitro mixed with some small pink flakes.

Our Lexus has a really cool pearlescent white that is a 3-step process, looks real pearly...that's all I know.

I'd either tint some white pearl paint with pink pigment or mix some dry interference pearl powder in clear and spray over a solid pink basecoat.Those SS's had a nitrocellulose clear topcoat so the tint from that has shifted the color.

Without a police report or some official documentation, that's meaningless.

Exactly. But some people still believe it. I certainly don't. Heck on the EBMM forum there is pretty much a giant thread listing serial numbers along with build dates etc. Never heard of anyone having a problem with it.

I've never actually heard of a problem either, but I suppose someone could get a phone call from some guy claiming to be the old owner and he'd call the police if he didn't get it back and someone would give it to him... there are all kinds of people out there.
