specialk Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I'm not familiar with the Steve Stevens model, but shouldn't there be a serial number here? BTW, love that color and best of luck trying to duplicate it.
Sugartune Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I think they used real crushed pearls, mixed in with some real pink. Voila! ETA - that ad copy is great. Love the "Pink Pearl" joke

Anyway Ill try some pink nitro mixed with some small pink flakes. This guy has a good video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7u2biYjX1I
serial Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 The pearl finishes were metallics with pearlescent topcoats.
Armitage Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I'm going with the crushed pearls and a drop of walrus blood.
anotherfreak Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 ....bled dry by the beating with clubs of fresh yew wood. Held by only the fairest of young maidens....
ZR Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Our Lexus has a really cool pearlescent white that is a 3-step process, looks real pearly...that's all I know.
tbonesullivan Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Not taped. Photoshopped out. Some people feel that having the serial number showing can cause problems because someone else might claim it was stolen.

cmatthes Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Not taped. Photoshopped out. Some people feel that having the serial number showing can cause problems because someone else might claim it was stolen.Without a police report or some official documentation, that's meaningless.

Some people feel that having the serial number showing can cause problems because someone else might claim it was stolen.Without a police report or some official documentation, that's meaningless.Exactly. But some people still believe it. I certainly don't. Heck on the EBMM forum there is pretty much a giant thread listing serial numbers along with build dates etc. Never heard of anyone having a problem with it.
Armitage Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I've never actually heard of a problem either, but I suppose someone could get a phone call from some guy claiming to be the old owner and he'd call the police if he didn't get it back and someone would give it to him... there are all kinds of people out there.
