Or, I imagine, those who check in whilst their young'ens are running about.I turned off the avatars. I've accepted that I can't read anything on the Outer Circle. Blindness in one eye reminds me to open posts by EAPoe with caution. But today I got an eyeful of tatas on the friggin' *home page*. Tonejunkee, you're very pretty but put some clothes on for chrissakes.So it had been a fun couple of weeks of seeing what y'all look like, but now that luxury is lost to me as well. Look folks, I dig rock & roll deviation as well or better than anyone, but one luxury of the Outer Circle's existence *should* be that I don't have to feel like a pervert just because I'm curious about somebody's latest custom order. Whether the pics are appropriate is up to debate, but I'm pretty sure your girfriend's assets are off-topic. Can't we play show & tell on the Outer Circle?Or I'll just bugger off. Whatever...

Had I known TJ's honey was standing guard I might have ventured in that way more often. Truthfully the pic that he has in his profile is pretty tame- I see more skin when reading the Sunday Times really. The avatars that were being debated were a bit more off color (or on color depending on your view). D ifferent strokes, I guess.

Bob P Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Ted, Perhaps we can set something up like the movie ratings.......when the HFC'r signs up for the club he can designate how far he wants to go.HFCr's who sign up for G ratings get photos of lovely birds and moons ( it doesn't matter if this has nothing to do with Hamer...it is safe for the kiddies). Absolutely no damns, hells, goshdarnits, etc in the course of conversation. Plain tops only because the kiddies can't be exposed to anything graphic. If it would embarass Radar O'Reilly (another New Hartford, CT resident) it doesn't belong here.A PG rating gets you into the realm of discussion (set neck vs bolt on, maple vs mahogany, modern vs vintage....just don't go into Roe vs Wade, right vs left, north vs south, etc) . You can see up to a AA flame top (anything over AAA requires parental guidance). No off color stuff...strictly sunburst, cherry and TV yellow are allowed here.A PG-13 rating gets you into the realm of "artsy" guitars. PG-13 will get you an occasional "topless" photo (perhaps Ed Roman is making one of the old Hamers better by putting a blingin' carved top on it). There may be occasional graphic talk of the inner workings of a guitar...wiring, finishing, surgical enhancements (mods), etc. You can discuss variations on the above guitars (ie Tobacco Sunburst is OK but lets not discuss Black Trans).The R rated forum allows you to discuss what you have done to your guitar. Have you abused it? Did you have your way with it last night? Did you paint it another color so it reminds you of a guitar from your past? Tell all here.The X rated forum is a personal invite to Tonejunkee's palace of love. Nuff said.Or maybe we can form a coop with the Daisy Rock Forum and get Tipper Gore to moderate....just a thought.

If you have your spouse/girlfriend, children or boss/co-workers are able to view the racy avatars, we should use the control panel to change the viewing of avatars, etc. while at work or at home. Or better yet, do not view the Hamer Fan Club website while you're at work. I definitely don't want the Hamer Guitar Co. or it's webmasters to have to moderate or ban anything considered risque or offensive. I'm happy to see everyone's cool Hamer USA guitars or to see what the other guys have for sale. I would rather buy a guitar from my fellow club members and help someone out financially than buy from E-Bay. So I would like to say that let's keep it real, guys and consider that other people are looking at this website. BTW, Buttgirl is cool to look at and Brewmaster's avatars definitely puts me in a good mood after a rough day. Guitar George

I mean, this is 2005, man...personal responsibility went out of style about the same time that participation in Social Security became mandatory (and I'll bet there aren't many on this board that knew that it was originally voluntary for about 1/2 of the occupations in this country).

Hammer on a C bass note ( A string ) as you hold the A note to get it sounding a little more like the CD. I think you could get away with a C# instead of a D...whatever you prefer. The two parts in the song that differ are G and C D and C Thats pretty much it....turn the tone down, grab a clean sound and play with heaps of overdrive and a little contour.

I have to agree that the guy in that picture is one ugly dude. Can we have the Hamer ads like Dean guitars with a beautiful girl holding a Hamer guitar in the ocean? Or a hot chick in bed with the guitar wearing a silk teddy? Or what about a girl holding a Hamer guitar while leaning up on a cool vintage hotrod? I sort of miss the Class of '80 Hamer guitar shot from the other website. Can we bring it back here? Guitar George
