django49 Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 I am def not in the marker for new gear. But these seem to be pretty good value. As, apparently, are the other offerings, including an ES-355-type.
Jeff R Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 I just had one of the Sire Larry Carlton HSS strats just like this one cross my bench for a routine setup and you are correct, it is a really, REALLY good guitar and simply off the charts for pure value. A Suhr/Anderson/Melancon/Tyler owner who bought this as his bar band beater axe would be very at home on it and quite happy with his purchase.
Biz Prof Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Interesting. And a strong endorsement coming from Jeff R. My son's looking for a T-style to add to his arsenal, and I've been encouraging him to look for a used G&L Tribute ASAT Classic and similar used MIM Fenders, but this now has me intrigued, especially if he could find one second-hand. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/LCT7AW--sire-larry-carlton-t7-electric-guitar-antique-white

That sure isn't dad's Harmony! Looks sweet
scottcald Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 I looked up some things on YT. Larry’s actually playing these live too, so they must be good. and the JeffR praise says a lot.
Jimbilly Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 the low price Sire Marcus Miller basses are supposed to be good, I'll ask him if I get a chance when I see him at jazz alley next month
