The 'verb has thrown out some fascinating opportunity, today.

No affiliation as usual.

Nothing but fascination and admiration, as usual, too.

Look at those knobs: Without their strangely contrasting noxious orange color nobody would be able to tame this guitar in any manner.

Wtf was it with these late 80's color schemes? I'm very curious what the motivation, attraction was of these? It seems to be localized to that time period

This was another age and era.

„The future was so bright, we gotta wear shades“, as a famous Timbuk2-Song was saying.

Had to have guitars that would match those killer spandex pants. I love me some Zulu Clown Puke...

Localized?  I love it even now!  Can't take guitars too seriously.

I think the guitar world had had enough of 70's brown.  Not that there's anything wrong with that...

I'm very "Traditional" when it comes to guitars but for some reason, I really like that finish.

Dayglo colors were trendy.  Logos and layouts that looked like splashes or brush strokes were everywhere.  Look at the ads in magazines from the time period.  The graphic art design was going loose and flashy as synthesizers and midi had music going technical and precise.

It was a trend that came and went.  I do not miss it, but I would love to have a Hamer with that trendy finish.

They were radical, dude.  It was the party decade.

Wow, that guitar has been up there for 2 years and they finally lowered the price. I like it. Not ready to drop over 2K on it. But I like it.

This particular song is about a grad student who graduates and goes on to nuke the world.
