Cboss Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 What are the pickups in this guitar? What is the switching scheme with the toggles? How do these feel, pretty heavy? Comfortable weight?

Comfortable weight? These are great guitars that are comfortable to play with a lot of tonal variations... my Phantom is not that heavy "I'm guessing @ about 7 1/2-8ish lbs"... 100% mahogany neck and body construction... and the Sustain block trem is workable if you have decent setup skills
cmatthes Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 They’re great, extremely comfy/ergonomic guitars. The one I have is stupidly light.
ib2010 Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 Before I knew anything about what Hamer was, or pretty much anything, I played one of these a friend sold me for 2 years. It is the model with synth outputs. But playing it as a strait guitar was really rewarding, great tone and super comfortable.
Disturber Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Folks, that is 100% the right headstock for that model. The 6 in line makes it looks like a shredder (shudders). The 3+3 just makes it sober looking, a rocker. It's been 30 years since ya all cut off your mullet, come on! 😅 On 7/13/2023 at 8:25 PM, Travis said: Wrong headstock….
Cboss Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 I went and played an 83 at Dave's yesterday, I really liked the guitar and all the tonal variations, very comfortable! Love the 3 + 3 headstock! Unfortunately they grossly misrepresented it, which I found out after a 3-hour drive, but it was still really fun to play through different amps and I found myself really liking the guitar, also loving the lightness of it.. I will be looking for one in better condition for sure

"And I got an absolutely wonderful drive back out of it with my girlfriend"... is this code for oral?🤣
