FS: 1994 Daytona

Hey, Hamer fans. I just bought a Vector and I decided to let this one go. There isn’t a mark on this guitar. It’s all original including the case and tools.

I love it but I still have my T-62 so I’ll get by. I’m asking $2200 Canadian. You pay shipping. That’s 1662.00 US. Because I’m not sure you will find a cleaner example.

The only blemish is on the neck plate. I think the guitar was put in its case with some hand grease on it so the plate is a bit tarnished.

Story I got was that the guy got it as a gift from his wife and then cut the tip of a finger off shortly after. The guitar was put away until sold to me.

Here are some more pics including the funky neck plate.

It has a wonderful red color. Love it.

Beautiful guitar.

I had its twin at one time. Selling it is still one of the most boneheaded moves I ever made.

GLWS.

Yeah, I’m not exactly stoked about selling it but the choice has been made. I do miss my Scepter. The only other guitar I’ve sold.

Lovely guitar, and I’m not that much of a red guitar guy! The plating on those neck plates is dodgy— I don’t have acid sweat but routinely have to bust out the Flitz to tidy things up on my SFG. GLWTS

I haven’t tried any real polish on it. Just gave it a good rub. There might be a way to get it back to a better state with some super fine grit or something. Jewelry polish?

I love my Daytona. As far as polishing metal goes I use this for most things. It'll bring tarnished/rusty vintage motorcycle or car trim back to looking new. Should work on a neck plate!

Ahhh…wish this showed up a year or so ago….looks to be a fine specimen. GLWTS

Hey Dutchman, thanks for that. I’ll try to get some and give it a try. I’m sure it can’t hurt and I’d like to get that plate back to its original condition like the rest of the guitar. It kind of stands out as it is.

I’ll put it on the scale when I get home at the beginning of September. If I remember correctly I think it was around 7 1/2 lbs. I could be wrong.

Love the grain!  If I didn't have so many Strats, and if I didn't have a preference against red guitars., and If I hadn't just bought two USA Hamers recently.. oh, wait, what am I talking about?  I just can't afford it!  Good luck with the sale!
