  1. Past hour
  2. Mike did videos from his house during COVID. One day there was a corn cob pipe on his coffee table, I asked in a comment what he put in it. Never saw it again.
  3. You're all nuts. That's Tommy Chong.
  4. Today
  5. I think he's in great shape, at least psychologically. He recognizes his limitations but has a great attitude about it. Kudos to him!
  6. Good day all! I'm going to sell my 2006 Hamer Standard (6 55072). I'd like to get $7000 for it. Plus $100 for shipping. It was signed by Rick Nielsen and the person I got it from (Brian Grilli, singer/songwriter in Va Beach) stated that it was from Rick's personal collection and the signature was the result of it selling at a charity auction. I know some hate that it is signed but the signature will easily buff out. Attached are the pics I have. If interested, I can send more detailed pictures. I need to figure out how to downsize the photos. It is in Excellent condition. Thanks !!
  7. Definitely no slouch, but I felt a little sorry for him because it always seemed like whoever the "other" guitarist in Thin Lizzy was at any given time was the better player. These pics are from that "Thin Lizzy" tour when John Sykes fronted the band (so long ago I still had 'some' hair), him being one of the guitarists I referred to in the previous sentence. You can't compete with that guy.
  8. In addition to my comment above, I also spend a significant amount of time LOOKING FOR THAT F'ING THING I JUST HAD IN MY HAND!!!
  9. That sounds like every rock band from the 1980's radio compacted into one song.
  10. New, old, forgotten album released yesterday. The band is called The Western Front. Very AoR, and really good actually. Great singer. Great guitarplaying (It's Scott, after all). It's on Tidal, but you'll probably find it on Spotify too. A previously unheard album featuring Scott Gorham is about to be released, 40 years after it was recorded. The Californian-born guitarist, best known for being a member of Thin Lizzy, was in Los Angeles group The Western Front towards the end of Lizzy’s lifespan, between 1983 and ’84. https://www.loudersound.com/bands-artists/the-western-front-eureka-interview?
  11. Where’d I park again???
  12. Yes, diff guitars but both great. Please PM if you have something. I have an itch that begs scratching. P.S. Or a rare Special K or Newport 90!

  13. Yesterday
  14. This presupposes I'd sell it to you.
  15. Gee, is that so? 🙄 😜 Usually, it doesn't wind up back in my face via the HFC. (thank goodness)
  16. A little "gritty" but they clean up really nice. String separation is really good too. Maybe it's all in my head!!!
  17. I dunno man, I think I'd I'd let it go... It's kinda funny looking. 🤪 (Don't worry, Tim @hamerheadwill be along shortly with one of his "dumb joke" memes.
  18. I'm half tempted to buy it, and part it out again... Just to watch him lose his mind 😂
  19. I have a bunch of pedals I'm trying to move on. Here is a list with links to the reverb ads (if you want pictures and descriptions, which of course you do). 20. You do realize that when a new owner takes possession, after you sell it or even give it away, they can do what they want to with it?
  21. Sorta New Former Guitar Day. I snagged the Ha Ha Cali body and the accompanying Butala neck a week or so back. I put this together about 10 years ago or so and was especially pleased with the graphic I designed for it. It bothered me that somebody had parted it out. So, I put her back just as she was. Not sure I'll hang on to her. She plays and sounds great but I sold her for a reason and not sure anything has changed. I guess I just wanted to have her whole again and put her in the hands of someone who will actually value and play it.
  22. The first song I heard was You Could Have Been A Lady, a Hot Chocolate cover, I believe. It didn’t do much for me. Imagine my surprise when they came roaring back some years later. It blew my socks off! I ended up digging them after all!
  23. What are you digging about the staples?
  24. That actually was the case for me too when I developed some hand issues around 2012. I did work past the issue. Around 2023, I developed new hand issues. I’m still trying to work through them, but for now it’s thin necks that provide comfort. Funny how that goes. As to string gauges, I’m down from 11s to 9s on 25.5, and 10s on 34.75. I adapted fairly quickly, but I did come from the land of 9s prior to going with 11s. This is also due to hand issues, and it’s been helpful.
