Ed Rechts (Jay Toland) was also in that band - there's a story about how he was unceremoniusly dismissed going around. They used to play quite often at JAXX' in Springfield, and I caught them there a number of times, mostly when Chris/Turdus was in the band. The club had framed pics of the bands/artists that played there all over the walls. The Vollmer pic was taken on the JAXX' stage during the Rechts year/months. I saw Jay in there once (maybe an Ace Frehley show?), and pointed out that somebody had broken the glass on the Vollmer pic and Sharpied out his face. He thought that was funny as hell! Turdus still plays with the remnants of the Vollmer band around NoVA - it's been a while since I've been over that way to see a show, but they're still a really solid hard rock cover band, and I'm long overdue for catching them.

...I went to the darkside. Bought a VHT Two-Fifty-Two power amp to run the Imperial/IR-X preamp setup through and even through a CE-2w in to throw into the CE-1 setting and do a just-barely-chorus for a stereo set-up. Selling off several heads and probably going to a Synergy Syn2 module set-up soon enough. I also have the Banker build finishing (hopefully) this fall and just bought an engagement ring, so that has hit the old bank account, but I'm hopeful I've accounted for everything well enough. I'm really enjoying these modular and/or pedal-format preamps. Just enough software to be able to do a few cool things while keeping a mostly analog work-flow is kind of the best of both worlds for us dinosaurs too stupid and hardheaded for something like a quad cortex.

Nothing can change the shape of things to come.

Up for sale is Nacho Telecaster Whiteguard. Comes with a hardshell case. This guitar was made in 2022, and I bought it new in early 2023. It's in an excellent condition -- the frets have some wear, but the guitar is otherwise in a mind condition. I included a detailed spec sheet in one of the picture. I can do $5,500 includes shipping and PayPal fees for a HFC member.

Love Sammy, love VH, but that one is one of my top ten most inane lyrics. That said, the one that absolutely ruined an otherwise great song for me was this one in the second verse of Mr. Kravitz': "We've got to hug, and rub-a-dub" I enjoyed the song for years until someone pointed out that line.

12-fret (as opposed to the more typical modern acoustic that attaches to the body at the 14th fret). They're shorter guitars, all things being equal. Sound different, too.

I found a used (looked unused) rainsong parlor 12 fret for 1300. It is a wonderful guitar, small, and impervious to humidity and other issues. So possibly great for someone going into the next phase of life, moving a lot, etc. obviously the issue is finding one, just depends on your timeframe

I have long been a fan. Their original Overdrive (Dumble in a box) has been a basic of my setup for better than a decade. Their newer CFD improved on that quite a bit. And their TWE (Trainwreck, more or less a hot rodded Marshall) in a box is also great. Robbie is now tipping a new product coming this fall.....A much simplified Fender type 2 channel box, one each of blackface and brown Deluxe styles. Each with a master. Speaker Sim, GAC......Given his attention to detail and ability (IMHO) to capture the goodness of "tube tone" in a box, this should be another hit. Will be interesting to see how it compares to such as the Tone King Imperial pedal which covers pretty much the same ground (and includes Rev and Trem) and other goodies in a pedal that uses actual tubes. (Of course it is $600). When the Wampler Pedalhead arrives later this year there should be multiple ways to get a fully powered stereo rig on a pedalboard. My back appreciates it.....My vintage Boogie gear has not been outta the house for quite a while.....😉

I had it happen once right after it came back online. Mac OS Tahoe and latest Safari. Or it could have been on my iPhone with latest OS and Safari. Don't remember for sure now. I use both all the time. Pretty sure The new window opens when scrolling. I don't use Tabs.
