Thanks! Me too - any differences are very, very small.

Those Dimarzio 36th anniversary in an SB sounds to my ears EXACTLY the same as the stock 70s PAF.

Yeah this is fucking great stuff!

It very well may be an attempt to push viewership to the actual YouTube site where they can better control (read, "track," or "harvest") the interaction. It is Alphabet, Inc., after all. - Today

Dana_V started following '78 Sunburst - Tobacco Road
-
Okay, one more (to go along with my Shishkov post from the other day). My '78 Sunburst was in need of some out-of-the-case time, so I used it for a few songs last Saturday night. Here it is on John D. Loudermilk's "Tobacco Road." I've acquired several more Hamers over the years, but this Sunburst was my first. Bought used in 1982 from Lake Charles Music in Lake Charles, Louisiana. I paid - and I'm NOT making this up - $350.00 for it. Signal chain: 1978 Hamer Sunburst 8 0383 (DiMarzio pickups - neck: original; bridge: PAF 36th Anniversary) Line 6 G90 Wireless System 1999 Fulltone Full-Drive 2 (used for solos) 2015 Mesa Mark V (Orange Channel) Line out from the Mesa goes through a 2008 Behringer VD400 Analog Delay (short delay, single repeat, wet-only output) to a 1953 Magnatone Melodier 110 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjKOSpX8HYk "Tobacco Road" was originally written and recorded by John D. Loudermilk in 1959/1960, but has been covered many, many times since then. The Nashville Teens had a hit with it in 1964; David Lee Roth covered it in 1986. When Johnny Winter played Woodstock in 1969, his brother Edgar joined him for a few songs, including the set-closer, "Tobacco Road." And although it appeared on Edgar Winter's first album (Entrance, 1970), it's the live version from the Edgar Winter's White Trash 1972 live album Roadwork that our version is based on. (Our version is about seven minutes long; Edgar's live version is seventeen minutes long. 😆 )

YouTube isn't allowing embedding on some videos it seems. Maybe it's all of them now. I'm having the same message. Link is clickable though. -

santellavision started following PSA - Custom Transparent Black (!) Monaco on Reverb (NA)
-
$3k listed under Acoustic Guitars originally, it was corrected to electric a couple days ago. No Affiliation, but lots of drool. https://reverb.com/item/99252198-hamer-custom-shop-monaco-superpro-2007-transparent-black-55378-with-original-hard-case This is a custom Monaco (F-holes), not a SP, as described right? Either way, add it to my list of dream Hamers!

Rainsong guitars - any experience?
Dutchman replied to hamerhead's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
When I was on the hunt the thing that struck me about the McPhersons was the Feel of the Neck. I've been playing an Adamas for over 25 years so I'm spoiled. I'm still playing That one off Adamas after purchasing a beautiful sounding Santa Cruz. I got hand cramps playing the Vee neck on the SC. So back to the Adamas. Then I broke my shoulder(in Feb) So I bought a 3 holer DuoTone and run it thru a IR box using a Martin IR. It's sounds great and it's skinny so my shoulder isn't screaming at me. If you dip out the eq around 1600hz the piezo quack becomes manageable. -

What is the Reverb "put it in your cart" game about?
The Shark replied to mrjamiam's question in Ask the HFC Experts
I remember the early eBay days when everyone had separate accounts or "friends" to bid up their shit. These people just put items in their cart? Why? If they made an offer and it's accepted, the item's sold. If they made an offer and it's declined, it adds to offers but does it still reside in the cart? I don't know. Seems tedious and useless to a possible buyer. I just make offers or pay the price. Putting an item in my cart doesn't stiffen me in any way. -
