Who had the best debut album? I have to go with Boston - great musicianship, not a note out of place, strong songs throughout (well, 'Let Me Take You Home Tonight' wasn't as good as the rest IMHO, but not unlistenable. Everything else on there could have been released as singles). Even they were never able to match it. And that it was all done without computer assistance makes it that much more impressive.

You don’t have enough jr’s already? 😉 -
Do not use Titebond II or III, or TB's horrid brown bottle "hide glue" incarnation, to work on guitars. Use original red label red cap Titebond I. Ask Google the question "which Titebond for luthiery?" and it will share more legit insight than I spout off the top of my very forgetful head.

All around '93-'94, NIN broke out, I Mother Earth broke out with, "Not Quite Sonic," and many more from, Dig. Seems like, Counting Crows came out with, "Mr. Jones." Marilyn Manson was on the verge, I think it may have been '96 with, "Beautiful People." Tool, "Sober." And, Stabbing Westward with, "Ungod." Some others were, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, others in the late '80s early '90s. Was a great time.

A slightly more rockin creed? I don’t see it. And I say this with all due respect. -

Listening to this music today, it feels like a 100 years ago. Remember when bands like this were everywhere? An abundance of great bands simering just under the thin line of breaking through big time. So many you did not have time to listen to them all. And now, today, you search your ass of just to find one new band with just an inch of being the real thing - and just not a bunch of influencers posing as musicians. Damn, I hate what the "music biz" has become, (which is: there is no music biz anymore, it's just one thousand people uploading shit to Spotify, Tidal etc. every day without any kind of gate keeping or talent search). -
The 80s are back baby! 🤘😝🤘

Not been on here a while. I dunno why but my subscription emails stopped coming to my inbox! Anyways, I had a couple of heart scares at work in January then a heart attack at the end of February. On my third visit to tyhe local hospital (Winchestrer, ON) after for checks they decided to keep me overnight then shipped me over to the Ottawa Heart Institute. Good job they did: here's me expecting a stent or 2 and the surgeon comes to see me and says well mister: you ain't going home just yet! We gotta cut you open and fix them pipes (I'm paraphrasing). Turns out, my coronary arteries were between 50% and 95% blocked in 9 areas! I was one big heart attack away from dying. Anyways, I had a triple heart bypass on March 4th 2026. Everything went well. I started back at work at FedEx last week. I'm easily lifting 75-100 pounds and I never felt better in 30 years. Get your blood pressure checked regularly and keep a tight rein on your cholesterol! Also, my heart disease was hereditary and I never even knew I was ill so bear that in mind too. Get checked!!!
