  2. Will Shea is a monster builder. He's ahead of schedule and I think the Summit Model is killer...
  3. It was a robbery that went awry 🤷‍♂️
  4. Today
  5. I've got just a little bit. I blame in-ears and my practice headphones, which I try to keep as quiet as possible, but is sure it fun to try to play along with something a bit loud if it sounds really good. I'm ok with some tinnitus: I don't expect to have perfect hearing on my deathbed, - use these things, and expect some reasonable wear.
  6. my wife talks about us moving to Florida, maybe I should show her this, - or maybe I should NOT show her this, hmmm
  7. I picked one up on Reverb and as I await a new power supply for it, I'm looking for a good foot controller option for live use. I had a Ground Control unit about 30 years ago. I've seen a variety of different foot controllers used with the H9 - Disaster Area Designs, Morningstar, Arturio. Anyone have a suggestion?
  8. They actually pop up on Reverb and eBay from time to time. Unfortunately, I've let a few listings slip by over the years, so I finally decided it's time to get serious about finding one. Figured posting here would be a good way to cover all my bases!
  9. We live in Palm Coast now and I saw that on the news not long after it happened. Tragic he was only a few years younger than me.............sounds like he was a nice guy and a very good guitar player.
  10. Reminds me of my teeth. 🤣
  11. Refin. Interested parties ask your questions first, make sure that isn’t covering something else up.
  12. I love when the white starts to yellow... It makes me smile
  13. broken ribs hurt, and you have to breathe Heal fast
  14. it's all about the polka dots...
  15. no reason you can't keep one, a blue one, next to the couch for whenever you feel inspired
  16. You definitely have to be aware of the added fees, but you have to be aware of your limit and not get caught up in the moment. Years ago, I remember reading an article in ICE Magazine (a magazine about CDs) about eBay and warning about not getting caught up. They talked to one guy who'd gotten caught up in a bidding war for a promo CD and that "I can't lose this" feeling took over for a while, and he said bidding got up around $500 and he finally said, "What the hell am I doing here?" There's a record store in Tennessee that does live auctions every night on YouTube (and a few others), and there are some things I've bought there, but every now and then something I really want comes up and the price gets out of my comfort zone very quickly. One night, we watched a bidding war for a 45 of Dylan's "Hurricane". Two guys were going back and forth, and the price was escalating rapidly. At one point, somebody said, "These guys know something the rest of us are missing". I looked on Discogs when the bidding went over $600, and there were copies that were in the $40 range. Final price was over $900.
  17. But do you have the triangle down pat?
  18. The Atlanta show next month sold out in the presale. A friend has an extra ticket waiting for me. Since the first video was posted on this message board in February I have been fascinated by all that is going on in Angine de Poitrine's music. There are videos analyzing the timing of the music. The spacing of the microtonal frets got people to experiment with zip ties on their necks. This band is like a science experiment and a book of puzzles.
  19. Back, but in beautiful Sunset Orange: https://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid
  20. From my experience bidding at the auctions prices tend to get inflated and you end up paying way more than you planned to, especially with 28% buyer premium. For example, I recently bought a military item for less than 50% of what someone won at the auction 15 years ago, and that's not even counting the auction premium in. On top of that, this item was sold through consignment via a dealer, so after factoring in dealer commission and auction fees seller probably recovered 25-30% of what he paid. I prefer to stay away from these auctions.
  21. Ouch! that's going to be a tough call, I can't believe many were made and I would have to believe what were built were all custom ordered. Lefty's no matter who is building them are small in numbers. And IF you find one it's probably going to have a premium price attached. Experts here could comment further.
