  4. Google Image attributed it to McCartney's guitarist, Jimmy McCulloch That said, it first highlighted the guitar and told me it was Lita Ford! 😄 I found zero photos of Jimmy McCulloch with that guitar.
  5. I wouldn't have believed it, but this photo from his facebook (and the one posted above by @dgstandard) seem to show the guitar in the same condition it's in today. Appears the owner is "Tommy Gunn" of Piper and there are photos allegedly from 1976 showing the guitar in its current state on his facebook.
  6. Definitely something useful for everyone, especially as the number of tube makers continues to dwindle. I still mourn the loss of "The Tube Shop", who used to have email "telefunken@cox.net". I got some great ANOS and NOS tubes from them about 7 years ago. Not sure when they went away, but I think it was early 2021. I remember a few other dealers trying to get into ANOS, but I think those days are unfortunately over.

  8. Bad Cat Purepath Analog Reactive Load Cab Simulator Really cool amp attenuator/cab sim. It was was voted the best piece of gear at the 2026 NAMM show. Mint condition, not a mark or scratch on it. I am the original owner. Bought new. Barely used in my non-smoking home studio. Works perfectly, sounds exceptional - no issues. Use -20 dB if your mixer/PA/interface input is clipping. MIC: EDGE / CENTER A tonal contour based on common mic position. EDGE = smoother, rounder. CENTER = brighter, more attack. CAB: OPEN/CLOSED A low-end contour. OPEN = looser, more airy. CLOSED = tighter with more thump. SPKR: CERAMIC / ALNICO A speaker character control. CERAMIC = more modern bite (think "V30" type response). ALNICO = sweeter, more vintage-style top end. PRESENCE: 0 / 1 A presence boost. Use 1 if you want more cut in the mix GROUND: LIFT / NORMAL Use LIFT if you hear hum or ground noise through the PA/interface. PHASE: NORMAL / REVERSE If your direct sound feels “hollow” when blended with a mic’d cab, flip phase.

  9. Cool concept but the tail piece (as mentioned) is problematic. I'd have ZERO use for 3 p'ups but that just channels so much Ace Frehley and rarity coolness vibes...
  10. My personal concern "and it could be the photo angle" is the amount of fretboard real estate between the high and low E strings... The high E seems like pull offs may turn into fall offs
  11. Fuk'n crack smoker... 🤣 That was my first thought, but still doesn't explain why the tailstop is so far away. There are literally thousands of de-kahlerized guitars where the tailstops are in a normal position... you just fill the void with wood and it's solid... therefore, you can mount the post anywhere... 🤷‍♂️
  12. Theory: re-topped after Kahler/trem-of-some-kind removal. Tailpiece studs moved back to avoid repair area. The top is way too clean vs the wear on the back. IMHO. Cool guitar. Just a few weirdnesses for that kind of money. ...or I'm just smoking crack.
