Steve Albini Cheap Trick ‘97 rework
Disturber replied to BTMN's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I have the In Color re-recorded album. Someone here sent it to me. It did not have the best sound quality, so I did a mastering of it and now it sounds pretty good. If anyone wants a copy gimme a holler through the p.m. -
I hate AI. It's not fun. It delutes the value of art, pictures, literature, music etc. 15 years from now kids won't care about history anymore. Or they won't know what was real or AI created. History will be totally fucked up. Who will bother to write original music anymore.

It's called "relicing".

Is the Nobels Overdrive the best ever?

Is the reissue Nobels ODR1 just as good? -

Joe Bonamassa just posted a pic of this Hamer
Disturber replied to santellavision's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I was in contact with Mike the other week and he told me he had just given it to Joe as a gift. "'He's done a lot for me". Joe played it on stage like a month ago. It's on the Hamerguitars Instagram. The Standard you got from Mike is from The Music Zoo. Mike still has the one he bought in Germany. -
what amps do you think are "under the radar" bargains?
Disturber replied to Jimbilly's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I found a Laney GH100L a year ago for 100$. It's a Made in UK 100 watt amp that can take both 6L6's and EL34's. Well built, good parts. Ring mains transformer. Great loop, (if you use that, I dont). These are basically hot rodded 2203's (or 2204's for the 50w version) with an extra tube gain stage. The bright cap is really nasty though, and make this amp sound a bit harsh. But if you snip it, (I think it was C9 on the board) the amp sounds like heaven. Just a killer amp. These can still be found for very descent prices. But Ive seen them on Reverb for over 1000U$ too. Laney don't make them any more. -
Just recently got into appreciating his later blues albums. When they came out in the early 90's I thought they were lame. Gary is missed.

I just discovered these guys. Tried to get into them some years ago, did not stick. But this album I like:

Please just shoot him. 😄

Perhaps they will move production here, to Sweden. The new ABBA signature series and Max Martin ltd 100 watt head (apparently he's got a sick collection of vintage guitar pedals).

" From their press release: The Marshall Family will own 24% of the newly formed Marshall Group. Victoria and Terry Marshall – heirs of legendary “Father of Loud” Jim Marshall (d. 2012), who founded the company with his son Terry in 1962 – together with Jim’s granddaughter Joanne Marshall-Price, Paul Marshall and the Marshall Charitable Trust will play key roles within the new entity to ensure the legacy of the famous Marshall sound and brand. Terry and Victoria Marshall will join the board of Marshall Group. Terry Marshall comments: “Since my father and I created the original Marshall amp back in 1962, we have always looked for ways to deliver the pioneering Marshall sound to music lovers of all backgrounds and music tastes across the world – and I’m confident that the Marshall Group will elevate this mission and spur the love for the Marshall brand.” Victoria Marshall continues: “With Marshall Group, the potential to further impact an ever-modernising music industry is a highly genuine one. Together, we will preserve the Marshall legacy and shape the future of ‘Live Loud’. Having worked alongside my father during his later years, I know he would be excited at this direction and the potential to reach a larger worldwide audience with innovation and passion which he always had in spades.” " https://www.guitarworld.com/news/marshall-amps-sold-to-swedish-speaker-company

My love/hate relationship with Bogner
Disturber replied to santellavision's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Never played a Bogner. I am to much of a Marshall man. But it sounds like they could be fun. Good luck with the new amp! -
The Best of the HFC – Vol 4 is LIVE!
Disturber replied to kizanski's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I gave this a spin again this morning. Good stuff indeed. I am glad to have such a talented group of fellow HFC''ers to chat with every day! Hopefully I can get a track in on Vol 5. Have a great weekend everyone! -
I gave the new Elvis Costello a spin today. Pretty good. Varied.

Just got this brand new release - Blueray/2xCD pack - in the mail. Will be a good view, with a mandatory beer.

Spinnin' @Jakeboy's album on Spotify. Good stuff!

Yesterday I played Ryan Adams B-sides. This morning I listened to the new Joe Bonamassa album. I think it sounded good.

Janelle is bad ass. I love the Electric Lady album. Have it on vinyl. Girl's got talent and kick ass songs. I'm just getting in to her latest album, Dirty Computer. The lyrics are pretty naughty. And that is a good thing in this case. Haha. So far I've only listened on Spotify. But it seems good enough to buy. Might wait until the vinyl comes out in September.

No, they are not.
