a Hamer in the final Gary Moore gear auction
Disturber replied to Jimbilly's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
They pay for rock n roll memorabilia. The feeling of owning something that belonged to Gary. I think many things from the hay days of rock n roll will be as collectable as say things from the Wild West or something from the Titanic. These times will never come again. We have already sailed past them (and we are so lucky to have lived through them). They will be remembered the same way as people think of the renaissance. The looks, the sounds, the hair styles, the smoking of cigarettes, the drinking, the shagging, the totally outrageous living, the too early deaths of many stars, the fast driving or real cars (gasoline, not electric). The future will be sanitized beyond belief and run by AI. Most people will use AI daily to decide which music to listen to and what to wear. Ai will make the music and the movies, tv-series. Goverments will use systems like face recognition, electronic ID's, implanted chips etc to controll and follow everything humans do. People will be sad, lazy and comfortable. Dreaming of better days, when people were truly free, will be all that is left. Owning memorabilia, of any kind, will be like owning art. As much of what is produced today will be forbidden to produce in the future. You will be forced to eat bug sallad and drink artificial vitamin juice. -
a Hamer in the final Gary Moore gear auction

Sold for 38,400 UK Pounds. About 50 300 US Dollars. Edit, and apparently Joe B bought the Soldano amp: -

The envy I feel is heavier than the weight of the whole universe.

The Phat Cats can feedback pretty badly. It's a thinner sound than from a feedbacking humbucker, (my personal opinion is that the feedback does not sound as nice). I played my Newport through a Marshall JMP full stack with higher gain settings. The guitar is controllable, but you need to work it if you don't want it to feedback at high volume and with gain. If you want it to feedback, it's pretty easy.

Nice '78. And a nice story to boot. But man, that was a lot of talking before he got to the point. -
Shery Crow has such a killer band, with Audley Freed and Peter Straud on guitars.

I wonder if this would sell in today's market?

Really cool! I'd hit it. Not at the current Gibson custom shop prices though. Paul: "I remember seeing The Kinks...." The Kinks 1969 in Stockholm: -

He seems like a smart likable guy. And his talent is unquestionable. However I really don't like the production on the Mammoth stuff I've heard. The last album and some new songs. It's just way to un-dynamic. Talk about loudness war. I wish they would just let the music breathe more. Are all compressors and faders on ten when they do the mixes? One song then my ears kinda bleed. -
RIP Ace Frehley. Because he deserves his own TDC.

Custom Monaco Superpro $2800
Disturber replied to Oakley's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
That is a killer looking Super Pro. Amazing no one bought it yet. Tip of the day. The Super Pros's are amazing shredders, the best you can get. Stick a JB in the bridge. Dampen the inside of the body a tidy bit (the cavity under the bridge pup) and you have the badest, greatest and meanest mix of a Les Paul and a Super strat. Tone for days. Mean mean tone. -
I picked up both Girl LP's for 5 dollars each. In great condition. With Phil Collen on guitar. Great glamapalooza! Early 80's.

Proof all Klons sound the same.
Disturber replied to Saul Goodman's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Looks like the Klon vs. Behringer has been dismissed. Still, any Behringer clone Klon made before the lawsuit will sound way better than any unit made after the lawsuit, so the earlier ones will now cost from 1500 $ and up on Reverb and Ebay. Klon Centaur maker’s lawsuit against Behringer has been dismissed In a new development in Klon maker Bill Finnegan’s legal battle against Behringer over its “counterfeit” Zentara pedal, it has been revealed that the lawsuit has been dismissed. The dispute went quiet in recent months, but it’s now been revealed that the case has been dismissed by the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. https://guitar.com/news/klon-behringer-lawsuit-dismissed/?utm_source=Guitar.com&utm_campaign=0a8b939f8c-nl_w41_2y25_weekly_digest&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_-0a8b939f8c-50585352 -

Researching all things Plexi: suggestions wanted
Disturber replied to Travis's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
It sounds really great. But not really mean and bold like a plexi (or a JTM45). Something is missing. It's to polite and polished. -
I have this pic on my computer. I remember it being discussed here on the HFC years ago. But I don't think it was ever confirmed if it is legit? Or is it?
