She's Swedish. Wish we had more of her kind around.

Two of my latest CD finds. The Darkness latest is easily a top three in their catalogue. Great songs. Catchy riffs. Great soloing. And the sound quality of the actual recording is sublime. The album sounds absolutely stunning. The other album is a collection of ideas that the late and great Bernie Worrell had left when he passed. Bootsy and others have completed the music and it's a funny, funky, jazzy and very organic album. Any guitars? Hell yeah, Buckethead sits in on a song or two.

I missed that he got banned. Thought he was just doing other stuff than posting here. What happened? -

Yeah, you should have been here during "the drama" years in the mid 2000's. 😅 The place has not been the same since it got cleaned up. Still just as fun to hang here though. And lots of knowledge. Not just about Hamer guitars, but guitars and music in general. There are regular posters who disappeared that I miss. But some come back, like @Feynman and others that were away for a while. I used to visit several guitar message boards but these days this is the only one I visit regularly. I think maybe the three (or more?) Hamer groups on Facebook has taken over some of the action. But those are not as fun as this place. -

I have a 59 replica. It's way more accurate to the real thing than a re-built R8. Better wood too. It delivers the goods, it's a keeper. -

Interesting. I wonder if it seriously got better, more sustain etc, after that process or if it's just placebo. The top looked better after for sure. Not a fan of the relic thing. -
2500$ sounds like a pretty damn good deal to me if it's a nos guitar. That price seems to be the going rate for these on the used market right now. Try finding another nos, unplayed one, out there. They are not making them anymore. The HFC really have the cheapest sons a bitches as members when it comes down to paying money for a guitar. Especially if they are Hamer's. 😁 😄 😁 😄

They are truly great. Sammi is a legend. He's been playing with Michael Monroe on and off since 1980. He had a project going with Johnny Thunders in 1987, but nothing was ever released. He was also in Jetboy, Stronzo (with Marc Ford), Jerusalem Slim, jumped in on bass for Joan Jett in 2003 and Demolition 23 together with M Monroe. Sammi released his second solo album last year.

Sad news. I saw the Dolls in 2006, with Sammi Jaffa and Steve Conte. It was absolutely great. Far from the original Dolls. But still great. Sylvain Sylvain was smiling and laughing through the whole show, looking so happy to be up there with David again. And David delivered, like the legend he was. Happy to have seen them together. RIP.

I bought all albums, (except In Throught The Out Door which I had), when they released the Jimmy Page remix/remasters like 10 years ago. They all sound sublime.

This movie does not need IMAX. It does however need a mean ass sound system. The room needs to be shaking from the music. It is a really great movie. My kids loved it and the oldest went straight for my Zep vinyl collection when we got back home. We had 1st row tickets in a smallish movie theatre. It was loud and it was intense.

i have tickets for this coming Sunday afternoon. Bringing my 15 and 17 year olds. This will be a lesson for them.

The Best of the HFC – Vol 4 is LIVE!

I gave this a spin again this morning. Good stuff indeed. I am glad to have such a talented group of fellow HFC''ers to chat with every day! Hopefully I can get a track in on Vol 5. Have a great weekend everyone! -
I gave the new Elvis Costello a spin today. Pretty good. Varied.

Just got this brand new release - Blueray/2xCD pack - in the mail. Will be a good view, with a mandatory beer.

Spinnin' @Jakeboy's album on Spotify. Good stuff!

Yesterday I played Ryan Adams B-sides. This morning I listened to the new Joe Bonamassa album. I think it sounded good.

Janelle is bad ass. I love the Electric Lady album. Have it on vinyl. Girl's got talent and kick ass songs. I'm just getting in to her latest album, Dirty Computer. The lyrics are pretty naughty. And that is a good thing in this case. Haha. So far I've only listened on Spotify. But it seems good enough to buy. Might wait until the vinyl comes out in September.

No, they are not.
