You still haven't mentioned anything about neck relief... Do yourself a favor and turn the truss rod 1/4 turn counter clockwise... wait a few minutes and see if that helps... repeat if necessary.

Could be The Nut or bridge... have you checked neck relief?.. does it do it open string and/or every fret or?

I must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something cuz I'm a huge Montrose fan, but I thought that sucked... except for the instrumentals, like Frankenstein and Town without pity... I'm pretty sure that singer ruined it for me... 😭 But thanks for sharing 👍

FYI, here's the response from Atomic Music to my neck shape question... Hello! The neck shape is a standard C and the fretboard radius most closely resembles our 12 in fretboard radius tool. Please let us know if you have any more questions!

Thanks for the response, I'll pass and save the $1300+... it's probably Strat like, ... I prefer full D-shaped, flat radius necks, like the Jacksons and Charvels... cool that it's a hardtail though
