  1. Belated HBD Greg, hope you had a good one.
  2. This was my first. I believe it was an 85 that Jack used on tour and sent back to the factory to have his name inlayed on the fretboard. They built him a new one just like it. I was lucky enough to get this one from my local music store owner who got it from Paul Hamer. It cost me a 1943 Gibson L7 that had the tailpeice from a 51 Les Paul on it as a replacement and sales tax on the Hamer.
  3. I'm out because I'm looking to buy another bass before the 17th and if a good deal comes along I won't be able to resist.
  4. I paid quite a bit more for the 87 I just got, wish I could get this one too but I think the wife is giving me a bass for christmas so I'll have to pass on it or she will think I'm crazy.
  5. I just got this one a little while back or I would be on it. http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/topic/56935-psa-87-hamer-usa-b8s-8-string-bass-at-dgs/?hl=%2Bstring+%2Bbass
  6. I would love to have one of these.
  7. Bummer about the shut down, I hope the guys building still have jobs when it's all said and done. I should have ordered one more B4M when I had the chance. And who gives a shit who sold the most custom Hamers. I'll take good customer service over sales any day.
  8. Friggin Awesome!!!! Congrats Andre, I like the sharkfin inlay and the white w/black binding.
  9. That's a long way to go for a move. It would be hard for me to leave all that sunshine. If you need a place to store all of Jacks basses while you make the move just let me know.
  10. Nice quilt!
  11. Go for the stars!
  12. I saw them when they played here in Indy and they appeared to be having a good time. We had suite tickets with a great view. I tried to get my oldest son to take my ticket and he turned me down. I wasn't all that impressed with the show but they did alright for a bunch of old men and a kid. Not as good as they were when they only had a couple of albums out but still rockin out.
  13. They are a little pricey @ $500 for the unit and $100 for the RTA mic. You do have to have the mic to make it work properly. But if you add up the price of all the stuff it replaces it comes out about the same if not cheaper. The hassle it's saved me was worth the cost, and like I said before my PA has never sounded better and no more trying to turn knobs and play bass at the same time. I justified buying it by telling myself I would sell the other units to make up most of the cost but as usual I still have all of it in the basement. If you decide to go the crossover route I have a nice DBX 234 stereo 2 or 3 way, mono 4 way crossover I could let go.
  14. I'm using a DBX Drive Rack PA+, It's a breeze to set up and our PA has never sounded better. It eliminated my cross over, dual 31 band EQ, Compressor and RTA unit. It walks you thru the setup process and when you're done you can store it for when you come back to the same venue. Best peice of PA gear I've ever purchased.
  15. Looks cool to me, if possible you should ad a link so dumb asses like me can make a donation to support the HFC. This is the first chance I've had to get on here since 9/11, I've been playing bass for a guy here in Indy and it's been leaving me zero time to be hanging out on the net. He goes through drummers faster than anyone I've ever played for. We're on our 5th one since April. I also said I wouldn't let it make me miss the Chicago trip this year but I had to go for the gig money instead of the party. I'm sure I missed a good one but the funds are needed to keep me buying more equipment.
  16. I can't even list what's in the basement right now without going to have a look.
  17. Happy Birthday!!!
  18. First 4 letters of first name and first 5 of last name.
  19. That guitar looks great on her. I really need a bass in that color.
  20. Great one, kicks some major ass!!!
  21. Happy Birthday guys!!! Hope you're havig a good one.
  22. But it's alright to call someone out as a fool on the forum and tell them how lucky they are you don't give them a vacation from the board?
  23. I like the fretless, it's a cool one.
  24. Just read this myself too. There's plenty of dumb asses out on the road, sorry you had to meet one of them. Hope you have a speedy recovery and good to hear you're doing alright. I'll think about you and send good vibes when I burn down tonight.
