    I paid $40 apeice for the first 2 "Captain Beyond"albums on CD, both were Japanese Imports. I paid $54 for an "Armageddon" LP still sealed in the plastic. Never have even opened it yet. Got it 6 or 7 years ago.

    I saw this yesterday, a bummer for sure. Billy Powell was a great player for sure. I saw the original lineup the first time at the Ozark Music Festival. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozark_Music_Festival,_(1974) I saw them at least 5 or 6 more times before the plane crash and at least once every year since they got the band back together. It may not have been the originals but it was always a kick ass show. Too bad Artimus has his own problems to deal with which I'm sure is the reason he's not with them any more.

    That's a good price on a Special FM. I sold one just like it for $550 a few years back, (as matter of fact it may have been the same guitar) I haven't seen one go for that low in a while though.

    That sounds about right for entry level positions in this day and age. I remember working for a contractor for $1.90 (minimum wage) in 1974. You had to work your ass off too.

    Looks like a stadium logo. It could be hard to see the USA with the natural wood stripe on the bottom of the headstock. Ask for some pics of the headstock from the guy.
