  1. Maybe you haven't heard this? http://64.70.168.20/dangerouscuts.htm
  2. I couldn't even imagine...... Hang in there bro.
  3. And I would be willing to go at least a $100 higher than Austin. Just kidding...... Unless you have a flame top set neck Cali stashed somewhere. Cool guitar!!!
  4. Maybe he was having a bad day?? Personal problems or something?
  5. I used to frequent one of the local "open" blues jams here. While there were many enjoyable moments, I also got tired of the elitist attitude and had many of the same negative experiences previously mentioned. I always enjoy the guys that look down on you like they think they would smoke you without ever hearing you play. It's like you have to prove yourself to them or something. I'd rather just keep on letting them think that. It's been my experience that most of those people are about 1/2 as good as they think they are. BTW that place shut down due to lack of business.
  6. Have a good one!!
  7. Ouch...... My head hurts after reading all this. I don't believe that it's possible to take a one size fits all approach when describing guitars. A paul may be the best choice for one player where a strat may be the best choice for another. To me it's simple, you have to spend time with a guitar, to decide whether or not it's right for you. For one thing, tone is completely subjective. I don't care how much someone raves about a guitar, it doesn't influence me in the least. If it did, I probably wouldn't be playing Hamer models that have been discontinued for the better part of a decade. Besides if I spent too much time thinking about it, I would most likely have even less time to practice, than I already do. lol Off to practice.
  8. Out of the ones I've played, I like Suhr better than the Anderson's. They both seemed like really nice guitars though. I would also add Tyler in there, just oustanding in every respect. (OK so some people hate the headstock)
  9. Straight in most of the time. On occasion, I will use a very small amount of delay through the effects loop.
  10. I agree that those influences show clearly in his playing and he is not always the most innovative player out there but, the dude can sure play. If you like the LTE stuff you might enjoy this as well. I like the second LTE better than the first on.
  11. I have one just like it and it's a killer guitar, very versatile.
  12. Surely you are only saying that because you haven't had the opportunity to hear his solo CD "Suspended Animation". I would be real surprised if you didn't like at least some of it, a great deal. Oh yeah, cool pics BTW.
  13. This is the setup my brother recently picked up. Worked pretty well for us last weekend and should be able to cover most reasonable venues. http://www.zzounds.com/item--MACSRM450 X 2 http://www.zzounds.com/item--MACSWA1801 http://www.zzounds.com/item--MACDFX12
  14. Happy B-day!!
  15. I heard this same story via the local radio station 99X on the way in this morning. They even mentioned Cheap Chick specifically.
  16. Whithout a doubt, YES!!!
  17. If your definition of playing music, is playing in a band then, yes it can be extremely difficult. Fortunately, there are other avenues to playing music though, recording being one of those. I am currently in a killer band sistuation but, that was not the case for many years. I had gotten tired of club owners, playing cover tunes, personality conflicts, people not able to make practice and all of the usual things associated with being in a band. It finally got to the point where I just did everything myself so I could be totally independant and create music. To me there is a lot of satisfaction in doing that. So, maybe it's time to take a break from the band scene to get creative, writing and recording original material? That keeps you up to speed and you can always test the water for new leads.
  18. Might this be the throne of which you speak? That ain't right. lol Relating to the original subject though.... If I close the door when I'm playing guitar and she also closes the door to the room where she is, I'm guessing she is not too interested in hearing what I'm playing. Of course maybe, I'm just taking it all wrong.
  19. No one else got this, nor was I flagged for being mean, which was my intent. Dammit. No one has ever said anything about my sig. Maybe they just ignore me all together.
  20. Absolutely no feeling whatsoever.
