I'm glad you ended up with this one. I don't think you have put it down since you got it. -

This is a great guitar. My problem again is with neck profiles, I love huge necks. -
Mojo appreciated for Tres Aard...

Holy Flurking Shmidt!!!!!!!! Get well soon. -
Acoustic Axis, anybody? Indoor Storm?
Brewmaster replied to Pieman's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I had a similar experience with AA. They are a bit slow on the trunaround. -
I have said for a long time Korina is THE tonewood IMHO. Those Rio P-90's in the Artist are a great match for that guitar. Tonejunkee would know which ones they are.
-
NiceBill! I KNOW you will put it to good use. Nice neck? How come the Daytona's I got my hands on all had Standard Strat thin C necks? Maybe one of these days I'll find one with a nice beefy neck.

Back at you Bro!

My #1 is still my Korina Tele. Sorry, that is just the way that it is. I had a Newport take a serious run at it but in the long run the Tele won out.

I finally got it. Hey, she was a wild thing wasn't she?
-
This morning it routed to the regular Google page. Oh well!
-
WTF are you guys talking about? All I get is a phony looking Google page.

What is this finish called? I like it...
Brewmaster replied to Ovey's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Well we all know it's not a 25th Anniverary. It looks like a 91 Sunburst, standard production model. It looks nice enough and pretty clean for a 14 year old guitar. -
I know for a fact a lot of guys on this board will wet themselves when they see this one. Somebody needs to get this pic to Rocket Syntist, I know he would appreciate it.
-
So why call it a Watson, why not call it a Miano?
-
Korina is an excellent tone wood, sonically similar to mahgany but with more snap on the top end IMO. I think a shredder would really like this wood.

What Years Were The 'Slammer Series' Made?

I don't see how you can go wrong for that price. -
Jesus H Christ!!! We must be close to the same age and maybe were at the same show!!!!!!!

I agree with the opinion that Warren Hayes breathed new life into the Allman Brothers. He really is one of the most toneful, soulful, players around right now. That being said you have to remember that Duane was 23 when he passed and there is no telling how great he may have become. I won't make comparisons because it is not fair to both. ( BTW I always thought Dickey was a good player, but not a great player. ) I like the Gov't Mule stuff as well.

The thing that scares me is what my total will be when they add in my posts from the old board. Crap! I could be well over 4000 and not even know it! I can live with being a newbie, Thank You very much!

How does Hamer compare to PRS, your opinion
Brewmaster replied to Brownsound's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I had a 95 PRS C-24 that just did not do it for me. It was my first EBAY purchase. I had played a bunch of PRS models back in the early 90's when I was starting to play again and some of the early ones I liked. That is why I gambled on the EBAY purchase. They are, for the most part, nice looking guitars but I want more than a piece of furniture. Every time I go to SCAM CASH or GUITARGET and pick one up I'm just not blown away by them. There is something missing. The exception is some of the McCarty models but even then I think I could do better for the money. -
Acoustic Axis, anybody? Indoor Storm?
Brewmaster replied to Pieman's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Daniel le Rouge (Dan Stohr) from AA used to frequent the board. I bought a Monaco Elite from him before he came to the board, an off ebay transaction. I got a good deal on the guitar and the transaction was pain free. I was new to the board at the tiime. He left the board with an open letter thread that was right out of drama queen city. It seems he got caught up in a few political flame wars and couldn't stand the heat. I found that to be unforunate since he really wasn't a bad guy and I was the one who invited him over. Sorry for the tangent, The bottom line, no problem with AA or IndoorStorm. -

And if they can handle it, will it impact quality?
