The Bill Armitage on Jol's Blog is NOT me
edgar_allan_poe replied to Armitage's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Is that an accusation Al? You know damn well that isn't what got you your vacation. It was shit like this that did. I will, however, admit to trying to create a new account under the h1kirateboy moniker. It got rejected. LOL!!! -

Joe would never stoop this low. Joe was a pain, and could be offensive but truth be told, he was nothing like this dude. My interactions with Joe were always positive but I saw what he was capable of and his banning was absolutely necessary for the peace of the board. IIRC he was also thrown off the Ferrari forum shortly after he bought his. LOL!!! -
The Bill Armitage on Jol's Blog is NOT me

If it is the dude I am thinking it is, he is seriously a psychopath. He sent me PMs and emails for *months* after our run in on this board. I remember one time getting a PM from him on TGP that was well over a yr after we collided. He would even use my image in his avatar in other forums that I didn't even visit. Dude...seriously? Get some friggin help already. Wait...wait...I know..I know...we just don't get your "humor"...right. Get banned from every site you become a member of...but it is our fault for not "getting you". Sad and pathetic kind of sums it up. -

Dude...get it right. Nik hand chisels these with a fingernail file and continually taps the top to ensure the perfect tuning of the instrument. I haven't seen this level of attention to detail since the last time I was in Joe Shlabotnik's shop. Here is my X-ray of the guitar so you can see the level of detail that Nik puts into these.... -

Rant and warning - Snake Oil Strings
edgar_allan_poe replied to BadgerDave's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
That sux. I really like them. I can get 6 months out of a set, and that is with regular rehersals and gigs. No way I can get that out of a set of EB or D'Addario. I also agree with Badger about their tone...IMHO they just sound better, especially the rock formula on my Huber Redwood. That absolutely blows. -
Not sure Brewie does kits but if he does, I would certainly give him first crack. I have heard great things about the Ceriatone amps. The Trainwreck clone I heard was simply stunning.

the relic thing getting sorta silly
edgar_allan_poe replied to Citrus's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I seriously don't know why this is even an issue. The clothing and furniture manufacturers have been doing this for decades. Hell...the only pair of *non* reliced jeans I own were given to me as a gift. LOL!!! You guys who are bitching better not own a pair of stonewashed or faded jeans...it would be a bit hypocritical...don't you think? ROTFLMAO! -

I am talking about a brand new guitar purchased in the late 80's early 90's and it fell apart in under 1 yr. Inexcusable IMHO and the fact that they told me "tough shit" is even more inexcusable. That kind of shit would never happen with a Hamer or Jackson. They aren't perfect companies, but I have a hard time believing that they wouldn't at least replace the parts in question, especially after being told by A LICENSED REPAIR CENTER that the guitar was a POS and it wasn't my fault it fell apart. -

Ibanez doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Hamer or Jackson. I owned one of those floral print JEMs. It cost me $1800 at the time and it was a *complete* POS. The thing literally rusted apart...I shit you not. The trem and neck plate damn near disintegrated. Ibanez refused to stand by their product, claiming that I had "corrosive sweat". Bullshit. I had a stable of guitars at that time and *none* of them fell apart. Just because they spent more money on endorsements doesn't mean they built a good guitar. Did you ever wonder *why* they had to have so many paid endorsers? They built a POS and then then outspent everyone in advertising...they are the guitar world equivalent of Bill Gates and Microsoft. -

Insane Redwood Top
edgar_allan_poe replied to veatch's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
I have never liked that type of figuring. Is burl really redwood? I don't think they are the same thing, but I could be wrong. If you were going with redwood, Nik Huber can't be touched. -
I would absolutely agree with that. Unfortunately, you cannot get them on any other guitar or buy them as a separate item IIRC.

The PRS trem system rules. Best trem I ever used. The Huber trem is *very* similar.

HBD to one of the truly funny guys I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. To quote my wife upon returning from the last Midwest jam..."Chris does be a fool!!!" -
15 posts and no mention of Angus Young? Not the most technically proficient guitarist, but a killer entertainer.
