  1. I saw one of these locally for a cheap price and was wondering what they were worth and what you guys thought about them. Thanks in advance.

  3. I would actually put The Cult's version of "Born to be Wild" behind only "Shook me all Night Long" in that list.
  4. You have to put the pics up on a site like Photobucket.com and then link them. The size limit for uploading pics is very small. Welcome to the family.

  11. Hell has indeed frozen over....this is the first pic I have seen of you at a gig where you look like a complete dork. ROTFLMAO!!! Your rock icon status has just taken a major hit in my book. LOL!!!!! WTF did you get those shorts? Did you ride a skateboard to the gig? (poe ducks Jaye's left cross to his chin)
  12. Ice Cream Man might just be the best "Rock Vocalist" cut of all time and is the quintessential Diamond Dave cut.
  13. That is awesome, I am glad it arrived safe and sound. That is the score of a lifetime!
  14. Dave...in this instance isn't he going *down*? IE a 4ohm load into a less than 2ohm load? Isn't that what you said was OK?
  15. OK...maybe a little more info is needed here. I have a Boogie Roadking that has an 8ohm output. I am *considering* a trade for a Framptone Talkbox that has a 16 ohm speaker in the housing...this is not the problem. The problem arises when I use my Fargen Bordeax with the talkbox. The Boogie has multiple taps, the Bordeaux does not, so I have to use the 4ohm output because the talkbox actually goes between the head and the cab and the cab is 4 ohms. I would imagine that this would be OK but I am just checking to make sure. DaveH, I think you might be mixing up your shiznits because everyone I have ever talked to says just the opposite of what you are saying. Everyone seems to be in agreement that it is OK to go up but not down. My question was whether or not going TWO steps up would be too much of a strain and I believe that I have had that answered. Thanks guys.
  16. OK...please help an idiot. I know that going one step up in an ohm load (4 to 8 or 8 to 16) is normally OK. Would there be any problems other than volume loss when putting a 4 ohm load into a 16 ohm speaker?
  17. +1 Black would be bad assed. IMHO of course. On a trans color that Kahler fill would bug me...but a solid color would cover the route and make that guitar a serious piece of ax.
  18. Hold the fucking phone....you mean to tell me someone bought a 4 digit a few MONTHS ago that looked like THIS And did THAT to it? WTF were they thinking? Even with the Kahler, that could NOT have been a cheap guitar to buy. That might be the single stupidest thing I have ever seen...and I have seen some seriously stupid shit.
  19. Have you tries Snake Oil Strings? I only ask because I have heard great things about the Pyramid strings but haven't tried them yet. I liked the Snake Oil for my Acoustics, but not as much as I liked them for my electrics and was looking at the Pyramids. I am using Dean Markley Alchemy strings on my acoustic right now and I really like them.
  20. Dave..I haven't broken a string in years so I can't attest to that with Snake Oil strings. I play the occasional lead in both of my bands, but the majority of the time I am playing rhythm and singing.
  21. I gig and practice on a regular basis and I have yet to find a string as good as the Snake Oil strings. I shit you not...I change my strings twice a year, and that is only because I clean and oil the fretboard, not because they need changed. They are not coated or treated like Elixers, truth be told, I have no idea how they do it. They also have amazing tone and they keep that tone for the life of the string. I just used my last set on this Duotone and the piezo sounds fantastic with them. Rest assured, I will be placing another order this week. http://sobstrings.net/
  22. The live version of Nugent's Great White Buffalo. I was just a kid and had no idea what was going on....but I knew I wanted to do it. LOL!!!!
  23. PM Kiz, I think he has a few pair in his parts box.
