The Hall of Shame is almost as irrelevant as MTV or the Grammy's. Plus one on Grand Funk. I reaaly find it astounding that Alice Cooper has not been inducted either.

You can shred on anything. If you are going to spend $450 on that import, for a few dollars more you should be able to pick up a good used American made Hamer. A lot of good ones in the $500 to $600 range.

I think Eddie did re write how to play guitar and open the doors again to real guitar driven rock. It's just that I have very little sympathy toward anyone who throws it all away for booze and drugs. Especially in that business because there are so many bad examples from people who came before him. Hey I know guys that have had their wife leave them, have had major illnesses and business setbacks and they still get out of bed everyday trying to make this day better than the last one without the help of drugs and booze. And they do it with a whole lot less $$$ in their bank account.

And I use to think DLR was the reason for all of VH problems. This guy really needs help.

I just like to look at them first. Then I plug in and if the vibe "feels good ", ring it up. Vibe and feel. Plus a little mojo. Not very scientific, but it works for me.

No doubt about it, the better choice is the Hamer. But, if he "really" wants a Gibson, he might not appreciate the Hamer. Some people get so hung up on brand names they usually end up paying an infalted price for an inferior product.

I go for the inexpensive stuff. My two favorites are the Dano Black Paisley Liquid Metal, which is built like a tank, and for my Vector with EMG's, I like the Rocktron Zombie.

I will be 50 in a few months. No matter how hard you deny to yourself you are getting old, there are a few tell tale signs that have popped up in my life to remind me that I am not young anymore. 1- I watch the weather channel for fun. 2- I break into a sweat when I play checkers. 3- When an ex-classmate from highschool dies, they list it as natural causes. 4- When the only drugs that spike your interest are Rogane or Viagra. 5- When that hot chick that you think has been watching you finally approaches you, she informs you that she went to school with your daughter. 6- When half of the shows on the History channel have occurred in your lifetime. 7- When AARP sends you the letter telling you that you are soon to be eligble to join, you fill it out and send it in. 8- That when I am making out this list, I curse myself for not wearing my bifocals. That's just a few things that have happen in my life to remind me of the inevitable fact of getting older. Still, the fact of the matter is, that there is no way in hell that I wish I was 25 again. It's been a great ride and I still look forward to tomorrow.

Loosing hair is no big deal. I just wear it shorter and it is a lot eaiser to take care of. BUT WHAT I REALLY HATE IS THAT I DON"T LOOK THAT GOOD IN SPANDEX ANYMORE.

The Roxie Specials were the best. Would hold up to anything out there. It's a crying shame they went out of business just because the parent company folded. Just for tax reasons. Ain't that a pisser.
