  1. Nuno was badass, the second I realized that he and Jake were doubling the guitars on the whole first song,. MIND BLOWN.
  2. Nuno=Legend, that guy never lets you down. JAKE E LEE! Steven Tyler, still ripping.
  3. @hamerhead, then do what you must do. I gave it my best shot.
  4. I’ll follow up on my post in Hamerheads WTB listing. Buy, listen to musicians that make real music and care about their fans. SO much music is being made out there by real people with real mortgages, bills, and family’s that are still grinding away writing music because it’s all they know. They want you to listing, they need you to listen, they want you at the show, they need you at the show to reciprocate or complete the circle. F(&& the Machine! Corporate or AI, is’t about the human experience that is what music is.
  5. We all have been through a bunch of gear, but I have to say that Fender just rubs me the wrong way specially with amplifiers. They could still be putting out boutique amps that rival the old amps, along with advancing technology but its all about maximizing profits. Make an investment in products from company’s that still listen and want your business. I fully support Dr Z, his amps, and his community (minus the Facebook). We all came here for a reason, the community, the guitars, a company that would interact with the community. Hamer used to be the Working Man Boutique and I feel that Dr Z is just that. I have 7 of his amps and I have only purchased 1 new. He still treats me like I bought 10 from him. What more could you want? New products coming down the pipe are being shown at this years Mni Z Fest the first weekend of August.
  6. You buy and like the Dr Z Cure and I’ll buy you a Neo Speaker. With the standard speaker is 33 LBS, so you should hit about 28 lbs with a Neo. Cathode Bias so moderate variations in wall voltage will yield barely audial differences. Most come with 6v6’s, the last variation had 5881’s. https://drzamps.com/product/cure/
  7. Two things that I have given up in the last 15 years. Soda ( I went from a 5 to 6 a day kinda guy to quitting cold turkey Oct 2011), and listening to the radio. @hamerhead is right about his statement, and good songs never go out of style. Jason Isbell, Los Lobos, Miles Nielsen, Backyard Tire Fire, Edward David Anderson, Larkin Poe, Chicago Farmer, so many humans out there writhing songs with depth, and delivering them with compassion, empathy, and heart. I tell my kids, “here is the CD Player I have 300 plus CD’s just go find an album cover that looks cool and play it”. My 12 year olds favorite band is Cheap Trick. She made that decision on her own, and it’s not even classic CT, we spend more time listening to the post Silver Albums more than anything.
  8. AS much as I love G&G Cases, it’s been gigbags for Strats and Tele’s for me. What a great long running and storied history.
  9. In my not so humble opinion. If you are going digital and bringing a pedalboard you might as well go with a UA Pedal on your board and carry a 1x12 or 1x10 as a monitor. Investing in an amp that more than likely isn’t very serviceable and you will probably get just as board with as any other amp down the road doesn’t make sense. Tube were dirt cheap before, now its gonna cost you $100-$125 to retube an old amp. Tube amps if serviced are consistent, now electricity venue to venue is not. Tube Amp, hand wired, great quality can be repaired no problem. I now have way more Amps than I have guitars. Get a Dr Z Cure and thank me later. Deluxe/Princeton power with full EQ, MV and Level Control. So any amount of clean to dirty at any level. Made in America, with alost all the parts from American company’s. If it breaks, you call them up, send it in and they fix it. End your amp search https://www.guitarcenter.com/search?typeAheadSuggestion=true&fromRecentHistory=false&Ntt=Dr Z Cure
  10. I’m not buying the BS that is sounds exactly the same. Tim, buy yourself a good amp and quick dicking with two bit amps. Super champs and all the mods, tubeless DR’s. 🤮 Man up. Buy a hand truck from amazon, hell I’ll buy you one.
  11. I’ll be in Ann Arbor the first weekend of August.
  12. All of my guitars no matter the brand are loaded with Gravelin Pickups. Josh is my first call in the pickup department.
  13. @JGale you have an 80’s Special so Double Cream Bridge Reverse Zebra Neck, Mid to low 8k Dimarzio PAF.
  14. No, but you can order another one. That’s the rule.
  15. I think what we see here is there is no wrong way to build your Shishkov.
  16. All three unique. ‘ ’
  17. I just want to note that Mike sent 0105 out with speed knobs on it, and I wasn’t sure about the look. That all went out the window once I used the guitar. I work my volume all the time and they are so easy on the finger. Not very often do I see another build that makes me jealous but DAMN that is HOTTT!
  18. Glad you ended with #135, I thought you were going to end with DEATH.
  19. We could all use a reason to smile.
  20. Word on the street is we are getting closer!
  21. I think minds will melt when the whole guitar is finished. All Team Shishkov here, I just tried to stay out of the way. The SCIII body shape is a refinement, it’s elegant, and fits the build perfectly. When I placed the order there was only the first shape. The waiting is worth it.
  22. @HSB0531yes Koa, stained natural ish , really all about the wood.
  23. LOL, the I had no idea what you were texting about the other day. I didn’t see CM’s post until now. That Top is amazing, but I knew it would be.
  24. You guys with you maple tops, tremolos, and binding. 🙄
