Talladegas anyone?
Hbom replied to django49's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
I see someone has already offered an arm and a leg, I guess I'm out. Great pair though, Wish I was a little younger. They are doing wonders with artificial arms and legs now days. -
Well fuck it. Anyone want to buy all my gear?

Hey Saul. Don't worry about it. He's pretty good, but I'll bet you're taller. -

If it's just a little tight you could probably get it with fine sandpaper on a stick.

PSA: Hamer Special K on TGP
Hbom replied to currypowder's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
Two many pickups for me. So I passed. But it is a nice one with a good price. -
For a while I was taking pictures of all the control cavities that showed up around here. I just looked and I have 7 pics from 78-79 Sunbursts. 5 of the 7 have been modified with extra switches and various mods. I guess it was the thing to do in the '80s.

Bad Cat Unleash works pretty well for me. Thanks to Jakeboy. But you can't replace the sound that comes from a good speaker pushing air. And you can't push air when you choke the sound with attenuation.

I liked The Turtles. They always seemed to be so happy together.

Going to see Cheap Trick tomorrow
Hbom replied to geoff_hartwell's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
When I was 15 I liked a lot of RnR bands. 60 years later I still like most of them, play their records all the time. But I have no desire to watch 80 year olds pretending to be rock stars and can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want to pay money to listen to them sing songs from their childhood. edit: I do understand the theory behind buying tickets to see The Roling Stones. I'm pretty sure most everyone buying a seat is betting on being able to say "I was there when Mick grabbed his chest and fell on his face." -

2006 Hamer Newport pickup surrounds and pots

Phat Cats are humbucker sized P90s and I think they should fit a Dimarzio HB ring and holes would be the same. I see Dimarzio sells their rings for $4 ea. so it wouldn't be too hard to see if they fit. Or I guess you could call or write them and ask Mounting Ring - Bridge Position | DiMarzio -
If you don't have a 3D printer you can make a tele out of Legos too.

I ran across this on Jim O'Connors Facebook page. Jim O'connor August 2 at 5:43 AM · This is an amazing tale about resurrection. A FB friend, Bart Man, sent me these photos of a Hamer guitar which has a "marble" finish I created many years ago. When he received it from the owner, for repairs, it had been in a FLOOD, and had spent 10 days under water ! The guitar and all the cavities were covered in MUD ! Bart cleaned it, replaced electronics and other damaged components, and the result is what you see here. This is a testament to the superior quality that the people at Hamer put into every guitar that they produced ! I'm amazed and pleased that Bart Man, through his diligence has returned this guitar to functionality ! Thanks for saving some of my artwork as well.
