  1. I have a TC Electrics Hall of Fame reverb mini. One knob. Easy to try other reverbs via the their app.
  2. How bizarre. I was just singing "We Built this City" climbing up the stairs to check my email (on call today)...
  3. Pretty much in order: 70's Fender Champ (too stupid to know what I had) Seymour Duncan 84/40 '69 Fender Vibro Chamo Mesa Boogie MKIII '60 Fender Concert '69 Twin Reverb '68 Pro Reverb 60's Vox AC15 '68 Vibrolux Reverb '68 Princeton Reverb '69 Bassman Only one I still have is the Princeton Reverb
  4. We were thinking of cool metal band names and settled on Aceldama which we thought just meant a bad place or place of bloodshed. Apparently, it is from the New Testament (land bought with the silver Judas got for betraying Jesus). We dropped the name since people thought we were a Christian metal band, which was a bit at odds with our covers from Slayer, Venom, and Death Angel...
  5. I have a jewelry polishing cloth that has two different sides. One takes out fine scratches, the other polishes. Works nice.
  6. Wow. Good vibes sent your way Brooks...
  7. Only band I can think of is Manic Street Preacher. Cornershop (Yellowman is leaning on it) Crowded House (people in the apartment)??
  8. Radiohead (walking across the street) Rolling Stones (down the center street) Blur (right hand side) Matchbox 20 (bottom right) Nine Inch Nails (bottom right) Sex Pistols (dildo armed queen)? Guns and Roses (in the cart) Black Flag (on the building to the right) U2 (next to the Black Flag) Lemon Heads (on the fruit cart) Cowboy Junkies (by the subway) Green Day (calendar on the fruit cart) I could go all day!
  9. Rosewood. Can't stand the sticky feel of maple. Not much experience with ebony.
  10. I dug deep over the weekend to pull out some gems for a long ass work week. Loading in Windoze as I type: Sebadoh - Harmacy Redd Kross - Phaseshifter PJ Harvey - Rid of Me Helmet - Meantime Sisters of Mercy - Floodland
  11. I got them in the mail and I'm just speechless. I put them on, tuned up, and my '81 sustain block special began to play itself. It warmed up with "Eruption" before tackling Paganini's "Caprice in A minor, Op. 1 No. 24". I had to put it away in it's case before it woke up the kids. I will be purchasing more soon!
  12. Is that the original case or a replacement? How does the width feel? Big, oversize or pencil thin?
  13. Sad songs are my forte: "How to Fight the Loneliness" - Wilco "How Do You Keep Love Alive" - Ryan Adams "Magnolia Mountain" - Ryan Adams "Someone to Pull the Trigger" - Matthew Sweet "Nothing Lasts" - Matthew Sweet "No Blue Sky" - Lloyd Cole "Are You Ready to Be Heartbroken?" - Lloyd Cole and the Commotions Most depressing song I own? "Please Tell my Brother" - Golden Smog (Jeff Tweedy from Wilco)
  14. Sound's like this pinhead wants Hamer to create a company owned forum where he will ultimately be banned. "I'll show you ass-holes! I will bring your forum down!"
  15. I got a chance to meet Eric Johnson after a concert in SF. If there is a more humble, un-assuming guitar God, I have not met him. I mean, look at the gooby smile: Satch? Kinda a dick.
  16. Have a Keely modded Rat (smaller box). Way better then stock, but as someone mentioned not as good as my old Rat. Good enough that I sold the original.. Much more flexable too.
  17. When a special grows up and doesn't need all the constant re-affirmation, it no longer needs to be called special because it KNOWS it's special.
  18. Un-related, but when I shared a rehearsal space with a good friend of mine, my hobby was to turn one knob on his Mesa MK IV. Juuuuust one...
  19. killerteddybear and formula73, let me just say you guys rock for that offer!
  20. Good life lesson to: Approach each task as if it were the one that will define you. That's a good one to live by.
  21. Email sent on the PS2 and games. Not local though, so let me know. Email also sent.
  22. Dan Zanes is playing kids songs now! My wife bought three CDs for my daughter and I could have sworn that was the guy from Del Fuegos. She didn't believe it at first. I thought Material Issue and the Alarm were going to bigger than they were...
  23. nothing AIC released after the first two albums rocked nearly as hard. The missing ingredient? Mike Starr. ...I always tought it was more due to heroin addiction? Hell, Alice in Chains sorta sucked without heroin.
  24. I didn't like the Beach Boys either until someone lent me a copy of Pet Sounds. "God Only Knows" is one of my top ten favorite songs.
  25. Well shit. Now I hate Mike Love...
